Description of artifact and how the artifact meets the standard:
This SST intervention plan helps contributes to a school culture that focuses on improving student learning. I attend
these SST meetings once every 6 weeks to present data about a student who I am concerned about behaviorally in the
classroom. My students behavior is affecting his learning and other classmates learning; therefore, I am using my
resource of SST to get the resources I need to help my student succeed. My data includes dates and length of outburst,
and I also present current strategies I am using to help monitor and decrease the length and severity of the outburst.
The SST behavior team and I work together during these meetings to discuss strategies and goals for my students
behavior. We write a formal intervention plan, goal statements, and a list of materials to help my student be successful in
controlling his anger.
Reflection on artifact (what went right, what went wrong, how to make better)
The SST behavior team and I use this intervention plan to help monitor the students goal, and notify the students
parents of the intervention being put into place. I appreciate the opportunity to participate with the team at these
meetings to gain more strategies and tools to use in the classroom to help improve student learning. It is a great resource
to use because the SST behavior team has so much to offer including advice and different materials. Having a SST
behavior team has been very useful and rewarding because it demonstrates a team of teachers working together to put the
students needs first.
