Newsletter 4

The 4th grade newsletter provides an overview of the upcoming topics and skills being covered in each subject for the next two weeks. Reading will focus on determining the main idea of non-fiction pieces and using context clues. Language arts will work on editing skills and using reference materials. Math will continue the unit on multiplication up to 4 by 1. Writing will focus on non-fiction expository pieces. Science will cover energy topics like light, sound, heat and electricity. Social studies will continue the history study of Illinois. Parent/teacher conferences are scheduled for November 24th and 25th.
