Abstract. The purpose of this paper is to explore the retention issues of the young generation of aviation
professionals within the aviation industry setup in Malaysia. Assessment of the published industry reports
and literatures, as well as interview the industry practitioners are used as the methods for data collection
in this study. Finding shows that there are lots of retention issues of the young generation aviation
professional that are under the radar of the human resource in Malaysian aviation industry. This study
may help the human resource department to strategize their most effective retention strategy for the
young aviation workforce.
