Math M Coursework - Doc3

The document describes the methodology for deriving binomial expansions of (a+b)^n for values of n from 1 to 6 using the expanding bracket method. This results in Pascal's triangle, which shows the binomial coefficients of the expansions. The general formula for the binomial expansion of (a+b)^n is obtained using n! notation. Specific cases are obtained by substituting values for a and b, such as finding e by taking the limit as n approaches infinity of (1+1/n)^n.

The expansion of the form (a+ b) for n=1,2, , 6 is obtained by

using the expanding bracket method. For each of the expansions

binomial coefficients and the triangle array of numbers is known as
Pascals Triangle.
