One Party Prevails (Headline Student Council OFFICERS 2015-2016

The solo party running in the 2015-2016 Student Council Election was able to meet the requirement of obtaining at least 1/3 approval of the total voting population, despite running unopposed. All of the candidates from the party were elected to the positions they sought. Prior to the election, a miting de avance was held for the candidates to present their platforms and make their final campaign efforts, which also served to guide voters on precinct assignments and election procedures. The elected officers for the 2015-2016 student council are then listed.

A solo party take the challenge of
this academic year 2015-2016 Student
Council Election, June 24, 2015,
Wednesday, headed by the COMELEC, the
Cadocian Gazette Officers and staff and
assisted by Student Council Adviser and
Dean College of Psychology Dr. Christine
Hernandez and .In this case, there is a
condition that should be followed.
According to the Special Law of the
Election Procedures and Guidelines
prepared by the COMELEC, If there is a
case that a candidate has no opponent,
the candidate should have at least 1/3
approval of the total voting population
(number of those who actually voted). A
candidate cannot be on his/her aspired
position even s/he has no opponent.
Auspiciously, all the candidates belong to
the party attained the condition and elected
on the positions they looked-for.
Before the election proper, there is
the annual Miting de Avance for the
candidates presentation of platforms and
last campaign. The said gathering serves as a
guide to each Cadocian where precinct
theyre assigned to vote and to know more
about the election procedure.
