    colored threads
    Then they switched to using piece of
    cloths & now they use oil paint &symbols
    just like the cricket team with in the
    group of 10-20 people.
    Alphabet written on the Tiffin box stand
    for the person who collect the Tiffin from
    the house & the no. is for its destination.

    dabbawalahs trust with prince


    Charles started in 2003,when he was
    on visit to India & he also interested in
    there work.
    But no Indian leader Is inquired about
    there work & trouble.
    All the employees of dabbawalahs use
    to wear Gandhi cap.
    To reach such level of efficiency is just
    depend on the hard work and
    sincerity.

    They

    charges 250-300 per month


    from a customer
    They work exactly like the post office
    with hub & spoke operation
    Now a days the model of enterprise
    had become a global case study for
    MBA & PhD students.

    What

    are the factors have enabled the


    dabbawalahs to achieve six sigma
    destination?
    Ans.
    from the six sigma point of view they have to
    take
    care of two critical to quality
    characteristics
    First one is the Tiffin must be delivered on time
    to the office and secondly , the empty Tiffin box
    must be return back to home without any mix up

    Why

    have not the dabbawalahs been


    able to expand their operations
    outside Mumbai city?
    Ans.
    dabbawalahs not able to expand there
    operation outside Mumbai city because
    railway facility is not as fast as the Mumbai in
    other city.

    Question;3
    Why have not the courier companies made a
    go at this business when the supply chain
    model that the dabbawalahs are using is a
    lot like the courier company?
    Ans.
    courier company charges the amount as
    per the weight of the curious.
    Monthly the client are pay amount around
    150 to 250 but that is not sufficient for
    courier company.
