Olivia enters her home and finds a newspaper with photos of three missing girls - Kerry, Ashleigh, and Joanne. She goes upstairs where she finds the three girls dressed and posed as dolls. It becomes apparent that Olivia has been keeping them hostage. Olivia drags one of the girls and plays with the hair and lipstick of the others, while they appear sad and fearful. The document ends with Olivia walking away from her doll hostages.

Silent Dolls

FADE IN

EXT. PAVEMENT - DAY

OLIVIA, an apprehensive, quiet teen from the outlook, walks casually up the road to
approach her house.

EXT. PATHWAY – DAY

OLIVIA walks up the pathway and opens her front door

INT. HALL - DAY

She enters her house and picks up the post from the floor

She walks through the hallway

INT. KITCHEN – DAY

She enters the kitchen and places her bag and keys down on the table and also the post.

She removes her coat and casts her eyes down at the newspaper she has picked up
previously.

A big grin casts over OLIVIA’S face.

She takes off her glasses.

A loud thump is heard from upstairs.

OLIVIA’S facial expression portrays fear. Her face is dull.

Rushing to the kitchen unit, OLIVIA snatches a pair of scissors.

After finding the desired object, OLIVIA slowly walks up the stairs with the scissors still
in her grasp.

INT. UPSTAIRS HALLWAY – DAY

As she approaches the top floor, she slowly turns the corner and approaches the bedroom.

She opens the door unbeknowing of the potential consequences.

She opens the door.

INT. BEDROOM – DAY

OLIVIA shrugs her shoulder which is accompanied by a deep breath.

She bends down and places the scissors on the floor.

Three girls; KERRY, ASHLEIGH, and JOANNE are already in the room.
ASHLEIGH and JOANNE are seated on a sofa.

OLIVIA lifts KERRY, who is dressed like a doll and lying on the floor, up by her hair
into a sitting position.

OLIVIA

You broke my heart

OLIVIA picks up a bag off the back of the sofa and places it over KERRY’S head
tightening the thread.

KERRY, ASHLEIGH, and JOANNE appear dressed as life-sized dolls becoming


apparent that OLIVIA has kept them hostage to her advantage. They are non-responsive.

OLIVIA drags the girl across the floor.

ASHLEIGH and JOANNE’S eyes express fear as they follow the body’s direction.

OLIVIA sits in between ASHLEIGH and JOANNE.

She turns to JOANNE and begins to touch her hair in a playful manner.

She then turns to ASHLEIGH.

OLIVIA

Oh, your lipsticks smudged.

OLIVIA unsteadily applies red lipstick to ASHLEIGH’S lips.

Both dolls faces appear sad and rueful for the torture inflicted upon OLIVIA in the past.

OLIVIA stands up and walks away from the hostages.

The newspaper becomes visible with photographs of KERRY, ASHLEIGH, and


JOANNE PRINTED ON THE FRONT BENEATH THE HEADLINE OF ‘Three
FRIENDS MISSING’.
