PURPOSE:
COSTS:
Introduce students to the organisational aspects of
conducting a school camp; Introduce students to the role of mentor teacher within the context of a school camp; Further develop camping and bushwalking skills introduced on previous HLPE 3532 activities; Introduce students to a variety of other activities (rock climbing, initiative activities, orienteering, mountain biking, canoeing, and environmental restoration).
Personal equipment as required for the bushwalking camp;
Specialist equipment such as tents, backpacks etc will be
provided; (the ability to source your own equipment would be an advantage as Woodcroft students have first choice to the available gear)
Transport will be provided;
Food will be provided;
Sleeping mats will NOT be available consider
purchasing an inflatable mat (eg therm-a-rest).
PREREQUISITES: Attendance at all previous Outdoor Education sessions;
Be physically active ie take part in strenuous physical activity at least twice a week.
