Ext Local Park Before Sunset

The scene starts in a local park, with two siblings walking
their dog after a stressful day.
Amy
So Thomas, what did you do at school today?
*Thomas kicks a football*
Thomas
You know, just the normal sort of stuff really, but I was
asked to join the junior football team by Mr Williams today
Amy
Oh really, thats good then
*loud scream from the distance*
They both stop for a second and look at each other, they are
both silent for a few seconds.
Thomas
What was that?
Amy
Sounded like someone screaming, probably just people mucking
around
Thomas
But, someone might be in trouble, perhaps we should go back
home
Amy
Thomas, weve only just got here, trust me on this, its all
fine
Thomas

But this part of the woods is meant to be haunted; everyone

knows the legend of the Black Malum
*Amy looks at Thomas sternly*
Amy
Thomas just stop, this is pathetic now. Stop!
Once again the two of them are silent, but continue on their
walk. Thomas continues to kick his football along the pathway,
staring at the floor, whilst Amy walks alongside him with the
dog.
*The scene fades*
Scene 2
Ext Local Park Near Sunset
Amy and Thomas have been walking the dog now for 20 minutes,
and are about to head back home.
Thomas
Im bored now, I want to go back home
Amy
I dont know why you came in the first place, all youve done
is moan most of it, Im telling Mum when we get back home,
then you wont get that new game you really wanted
*Thomas looks directly at Amy with an angry expression on his
face*
Thomas
You always do this Amy! I hate you
At this point, Thomas kicks his football so hard it goes into
the undergrowth, and he storms off after it. Amy waits by the
path, waiting for him to calm down.
*Scene Fades*
Amy looks at her phone and realises that Thomas has been gone
for almost four minutes. So, she decides to tie the dog up
around a lamp post, and go into the undergrowth to find him.

Amy
Thomas, Where are you?
*Her voice becomes higher, as she becomes more nervous*
Amy
This isnt funny, Im cold, and I want to go home. Look, I
wont say anything to Mum just come out now and lets go home.
As she stands silent for a few seconds, Amy looks around in
desperation of finding her little brother. Suddenly, she
notices something in the distance on the floor.
Amy
Thomas? (2 second breaks)Is that you?
Amy begins to walk over slowly, her face is pale white and her
hands were shaking. As she gets closer she notices Thomas
football on the ground, along with the jacket he was just
wearing.
*Close up of Amys face*
Scene 3 - Continued
Ext Local Park Near Sunset
Amy runs back to the pathway where she left her dog. She is
breathing heavily, and sounds almost as if she was going to
cry.
*Amy begins shouting*
Amy
Thomas! (Pause) Thomas!
As she finally gets to the pathway, she notices that her dog
she tied up against the lamppost is no longer there.
*Her voice becomes strained*
Amy
No, this cant be happening!

Amy begins to run around the park, searching anywhere for her
brother and her dog. She decided to ring his mobile.
*Picks up her phone*
After ringing Thomass number it just goes straight to
voicemail, and she leaves a voicemail.
Amy
Thomas, where are you? Im getting really worried now. Please,
ring me back as soon as you get this.
Amy ends the voicemail and continues to search around the
park. She notices a mobile phone on the floor, a she picks it
up, and she notices its her brothers; a note falls to the
ground.
*picks up note*
Amy
Run or die
Amy looks around, she is shaking with fear. She notices a
hooded figure coming towards her at speed, with something in
their hands.
Amy
Where are my brother and my dog?
Hooded Figure
Sorry, I dont know what you mean?
As the hooded figure gets closer to Amy she picks up a large
brick from the pathway and grabs the hooded figure towards her
Amy
Tell me where they are, or I swear, I will kill you
Hooded Figure
ButI
Before he could say a word, Amy slams the brick against the
mans head, causing him to fall to the ground. She looks down
at him, and walks off. Her face is straight with no emotions.

As she walks back through the woods an abnormal man approaches

her
The Black Malum
I guess running was not an option for you then
*Looks sternly at the man*
Amy
What, (pause) what do you mean?
The Black Malum
Guess what, you have 5 seconds (pause) run or die.
It was that moment that it clicked in Amys head that this man
in front of her was.
*Flashback of previous killing*
Amy
Oh my god!
It was that moment that Amy knew it really was run or die; she
started to run for her life. Her face was sweating, her hands
were shaking, and The Black Malum was running after her. The
chase was truly on.
*running soundtrack*
Amys distance ahead didnt last long, as she went plunging to
the floor when she fell over a tree branch. The Black Malum
was hovered over her, staring down at Amys face
The Black Malum
Well, you have been definitely harder to kill than your
brother; Im going to enjoy this one.
*Grabs item from inside coat pocket*
Amy kicked the BM in the stomach, launching him back. She
quickly arises onto her feet and heads towards the BM. She
grabs the item from his pocket and launches the dagger into
him.

Amy
This is for my brother
*kicks the BM*
Amy
And this (pause) is for my dog
*kicks the BM again*
*looks down at the BM*
Amy
Rot in hell
Amy walks off, chucking the weapon to the floor.
*scene fades*
Last Scene
Ext Local Park Near Sunset

The camera is concentrated on the BM, and the scene ends with
his eyes opening, The BM is still alive.

Storyboard
Planning the filming of the promotional film

1) In this scene Amy and Thomas

walk through the woods. Two
shot, mid shot and a low angle
shot are used

4) Amy sets out to find her brother,

which ends up with her killing an
innocent civilian who she mistakes to
be the BM. Close up, low angle and
two shot are used

2) Amy and Thomas are still walking

through the woods when they hear a
scream, and they have an argument.
Mid shot, two shot, close up, low angle
and shot reverse shot are used

5) The BM approaches Amy after the

killing, and tells her to run or die.
Flashback scene begins, reminding
Amy of what she done. She quickly
runs off and the chase begins between
the two. Long shot, mid shot, close up
and low angle are used.

3) The after match of the argument

and Thomas walks off. Long shot and
low angle shots are used in the scene.

6) The final scene, Amy falls over and

the BM is overshadowing her about to
kill her. But, Amy kicks the BM back,
grabs the weapon and plunges it into
him. She then quickly kicks him in the
stomach several times. The very last
scene shows the BM still alive.

Most of the time the area is fairly tranquil, but Film towards the later evening just before
at some stages it can get quite loud, as there is sunset, so the noise is not affected.

it is in the middle of nowhere.

Take extra battery packs in case the battery in

the camera runs out. Also take torches with
batteries if light is needed

River running through, the area around can be
quite be slippery. This can lead to possible
injuries being caused

Set in a woods and park close to the River Thames. Filming set just before sunset to give it a
horror type feel. Main characters are fairly young, with the BM being older in comparison
