Reading Response #4
1. As a writer, you have to be able to respond to negative comments and compliments from
peers. In the end, you get to choose what you deem as valuable feedback.
2. When you begin writing you need to anticipate who your audience will be in order to
keep them interested. This shows that there is a lot more that goes into writing than
simply putting words on paper.
3. Students differ from professional writers in the fact that after a first draft is complete,
students tend to feel like most of the work is done. Professionals, on the other hand, see it
as just the beginning of the writing process.
4. I had ordered a larger section of the reading portion of the glass because of my work,
but even so, I could not contain my eyes within this new limit of vision. This example
seemed a little out of place to me; it did not fit in with the rest of the essay.
5. A piece of writing never truly ends. This is because writers are never fully satisfied with
their work. They are always trying to change and modify it.
