KovosaLive is an online news agency that serves as the only independent news outlet in the Kosovo region. Pitched weekly
stories to editor and supervisor, wrote three in-depth pieces on societal issues and political unrest in Kosovo, assisted
translations of stories into English, interviewed local Kosovars and governmental workers about political issues, contributed
to a developing democracy by producing news capable of influencing public opinion
Phi Delta Theta, Oxford Ohio
January 2015-May 2015
Communications Intern
Responsible for the creation and dissemination of many communication items that have been sent out under the Phi Delta
Theta brand. Developed feature stories for the biannual magazine The Scroll, logged information into fundraising website
Compass, preformed prospect research and gained exposure to crisis management procedures including press releases and
university relations policies.

Assisted in the creation and implementation of successful public affairs strategy and media outreach campaigns. Drafted
internal media reports to track the distribution of EWGs analysis through mainstream and independent outlets, wrote articles
for EWGs environmental and agriculture blogs, summarized media coverage and compiled reputable quotes citing EWG.
Created a comprehensive media contacts list for the press shop to utilize, as well as helped in the organization of a press
conference featuring environmental advocate, Erin Brockovich.

Uses public relation strategies to work with various campus leaders to enhance the Alpha Omicron Pis involvement within
the Greek community and campus as a whole. Created alumni newsletter, revamped the Chapters website, and utilized other
sources of social media to endorse AOIIs presence on Miami Universitys campus and beyond.

Travelled to Zanzibar Island, Tanzania (East Africa) with GIVE to empower local communities through sustainable volunteer
missions. Volunteers help with the building of a school using innovative raw materials, and teach English Education in local
public schools.

A unique opportunity to engage in private conversations with prominent politicians, newsmakers, journalists and other
Washington-based public figures. A full time internship was also preformed after the 6-week speaker session concluded that
linked to students personal and professional interests. Only 15 Miami University students are accepted into this program
annually.
