WALLS WEEKLY

Oct. 12, 2015

Parents,
A BIG THANK YOU to Mr. and Mrs. Kennedy for
the wonderful job they did on the tailgate tent
Tuesday evening. Everyone that made it had a
wonderful time and Mrs. Kennedy went above
and beyond. The ninjas were fantastic and that
banner will be in my room for years to come!!!
We are very excited that Campaign Ogletree was
a tremendous success!!! Thank you parents for
all our support.
First quarter ended Thursday, Oct. 8. Hard to
believe we are one-fourth of the way through the
school year. With that being said, Friday is the
beginning of our new quarter. I have already
discussed the changes that are going to take
place in the classroom with the students.
Two of the biggest changes are, late
assignments will have a 5 point penalty. Late
assignments consist of any assignments that are
due the next morning that students were not
able to complete during school. Students will
also miss their recess time for not completing
and turning them in. The second major change
is all redo work will not be averaged instead of
changed to the new redo work grade. It is
important that everyone try to do their very best
the first time and not fall back on Well, I can
redo it. Many of our redo works are careless
errors or lack or reading directions.
Parent teacher conferences are Thursday.
Thank you to those parents that have signed up
to come in and speak with me. I will begin
meeting parents on Monday and end on
Thursday. I also have several parents that would
like for me to call; I would like to do that on
Thursday as well. If you and not home when I
call or are unavailable, I will leave you a
message and you can call me back at your
convenience.
We have several upcoming events that you need
to be aware of, please read the following
information from Dr. Zutter, Coach Mosley, and
Nurse Beth.
