Elevator EEE PLC1

The document describes an elevator control system using a PLC. The system uses a nylon belt and stepper motor driven by the PLC to transport materials between floors. Magnetic reed sensors at each floor stop the platform, and inputs from a keyboard allow materials to be transmitted between floors. The PLC program is downloaded and controls relays that power the elevator motor. The system aims to provide practical automation knowledge and can be implemented in places like hotels to eliminate labor and allow unskilled operation.

SYNOPSIS

ELEVATOR CONTROL USING PLC

INTRODUCTION
PLC is playing a major role in the field of industrial automation.
The main aim for us to select this project work is to acquire practical
knowledge in the field of automation using PLC.

WORKING PRINCIPLE
We selected ELEVATOR CONTROL USING PLC as our project
work and we have used principles of Mechatronics in developing this project
work.. In this project the materials are placed on a platform and transported
from the ground floor to upstairs using a nylon belt. This nylon belt moves
over the driving and driven pulley. The driving pulley is keyed to stepper
motor which is driven through PLC.
There are three magnetic reed sensors placed at each floor for the
purpose of stopping the platform. The materials are transmitted from one
floor to another floor by pressing the switch in the keyboard.
First the program is entered in the PLC software and then downloaded
into the PLC unit through the PC serial port or they are entered in the PLC
mini display editor it self.
