Specific teaching target: What is the Magna Carta? What is its purpose and who wrote it?
Rationale: This lesson allows for an in-depth view on
the rules that stipulated the way of life in Medieval
Europe times.

Prior knowledge: This is the second last topic that


students will cover in the unit Medieval Europe. They have
a sound understanding of Medieval life, military and
defence systems, towns, cities and castles.
