.Save Nature For Our Future...

The document discusses the impacts of deforestation, including the loss of half of the world's original forests since the industrial age. Deforestation leads to the loss of habitats and species, disruptions to the water cycle, and negative consequences for local populations. While awareness of forests' importance has grown, deforestation rates have not reduced much due to communities and individuals destroying forests for personal gain. The document emphasizes that deforestation will lead to devastation and calls for saving nature and trees now to protect the future.

Deforestation, clearance or clearing is the removal of a forest or stand of

trees where the land is thereafter converted to a non-forest

use. Examples of deforestation include conversion of forestland to farms,
ranches, or urban use. Tropical rainforests is where the most
concentrated deforestation occurs. Almost 30% of the world is covered
by forests, excluding water mass.

Since the industrial age, about half of world's original forests have been
destroyed and millions of animals and living things have been
endangered. Despite the improvements in education, information and
general awareness of the importance of forests, deforestation has not
reduced much, and there are still many more communities and
individuals who still destroy forest lands for personal gains.

.Save nature for our future....

Deforestation will lead us to devastation.

Effects of deforestation
Loss of species: Seventy percent of the worlds plants and
animals live in forests and are losing their habitats to deforestation,
according to National Geographic. Loss of habitat can lead
to species extinction. It also has negative consequences for
medicinal research and local populations who rely on the animals
and plants in the forests for hunting and medicine.
Water cycle: Trees are important to the water cycle. They absorb
rain fall and produce water vapor that is released into the
atmosphere. Trees also lessen the pollution in water, according to
the North Carolina State University, by stopping polluted runoff. In
the Amazon, more than half the water in the ecosystem is held
within the plants, according to the National Geographic Society .
