Chapter 12 Lecture Notes

This chapter discusses nationalism in America and how it brought the country together during a time when loyalty was shifting from individual states to the federal government. Nationalism developed as people started feeling united under one nation and one identity. While nationalism can unite a country, it can also become dangerous if people follow the nation blindly without question, as was the case in Nazi Germany.
