    The Vedas which form the roots of Dharma were revealed through the ancient sages for the welfare of
    mankind. The Vedic tradition encompassing all aspects of human life has eternal validity. The Vedas have
    prescribed how an individual can regulate life in all orderly manners to make it purposeful, peaceful and
    blissful. The Vedas urge every individual to perform actions (karma) for ones spiritual well being and also for
    the welfare of the society at large. Thus Dharma according to Vedas is that which fosters both individual and
    social welfare.
    To promote vedic culture, Sri Sri Mahaperiyaval had established Veda Dharmasasthra Paripalana
    Sabha in the year 1942 to conduct Veda Sammelanams at every place. The first Upanyasam was
    performed by Brahmasri. Sengalipuram Anantharama Deekshitar at Kumbakonam.
    In the same way the Acharyas of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam Poojya Sri Jayendra Saraswathi
    Swamigal & Poojya Sri SankaraVijayendra Saraswathi Swamigal have blessed to conduct special
    Upanyasams at every place other than places where veda sammelanams are being conducted to admire
    swadharma and perform Nithya, Nymithika Karmas by every individual for their own welfare and the society
    at large. Everyone is requested to participate and receive the blessings of Sri Veda Vyasar & Sri Acharyas. We
    also encourage everyone to contribute liberally for the successful conduct of the function for the noble cause
    and thereby to receive the Divine Blessings.
