Student Learning Expectations


Our Lady of Mount Carmel School students are:

Leaders who take initiative to do what is right, set good


examples for others, and follow through with their
commitments.
Achievers who set high goals and give their best effort to
accomplish them.
Neighbors who build community in their school, parish, and
world by treating others with respect and kindness.
Catholic Christians who respect, share, and live the Gospel
message.
Exceptional students who distinguish themselves by living
the Golden Rule, demonstrating their exemplary work ethic,
and sharing their enthusiasm for learning.
Responsible citizens who are honest and respectful and
hold themselves accountable for their words and actions.
Stewards who serve others and care for all of Gods
creation.

How Can 2nd Graders Meet the Student


Learning Expectations?
Leaders:
Line up and walk silently
Follow the classroom rules and show others how to behave in all
classes including music, art, P.E. and technology
Do your classroom job without being reminded
Achievers:
Turn in your homework on time
Stay on task to complete your work
Print and color neatly
Neighbors:
Help your classmates
Include everyone in your game/play
Use kind words and a friendly voice
Catholic:
Listen to Gods words in Mass
Tell others about Gods love
Talk to Jesus everyday
Exceptional:
Follow directions the first time
Treat others how you would want to be treated
Be a good listener and participate in class
Responsible Citizens:
Say sorry when you have done something wrong
Follow the Steps To Respect/ talk out your problems
Tell the truth
Stewards:
Dont throw your lunch bag
Pick up trash and recycle
Take care of the sports equipment
