    1998.
     DIRK acquires DIRK India in 2001
     Processing of fly ash from the NTPS thermal

    power plant in Nashik


     Main Product – Pozzocrete, a cement partial

    replacement product.
    “To make Economical use of the resources
    of our planet, maintain a sustainable
    environment and preserve our future –
    after all, this is our home”
    To Convert all Fly Ash into usable cement in
    order to save 900 tons of CO2 emissions per
    year by 2011.

    Current Scenario: Saving 730 tons of CO2


    emissions per year.

    paperless office
    by 2010.”

     Convert all raw material (waste from NTPS)


    into usable fly ash on a daily basis.

     Current Scenario: Converts only 75% of


    fly ash per day. Remaining 25% is
    unprocessed and is either disposed into a
    lagoon or escapes into the air.

    by eliminating waste, with
    minimum increase in

    companies like L&T, Godrej, Ultratech.
     Set up Maharashtra Fly Ash Information Center.

     Export 50% of Pozzocrete to other


    countries.
     Look at trading Carbon Credit Certificates to

    countries abroad.
     Target countries: Gulf countries.

     Current Scenario: Export target met. Not


    trading in carbon credit.

    trade market and include
    trading in carbon
    certificates by 2013”

     Ensure all fly ash from NTPS is transferred


    into the Dirk Hopper from NPTS ESP’s
     Look at getting raw materials from other

    Thermal Power Stations.

     Current Scenario: Fly ash is currently


    conveyed by trucks and 20% gets lost in the
    process of transfer.
    “Contain raw material
    transfer and increase
    transfer efficiency to
    100% by 2010. ”
