Guidelines and

Code of Conduct in
Using the
Computer
Alicia National High School

Be smart.
Report immediately to
your teacher if any
hardware and software
in trouble for proper
diagnosis and repair.

Be courteous.
Ask permission from the
teacher before using the
computer.

Be alert.
Switch off your units during
brownouts. Wait for at least
5 minutes after the return
of current supply before
switching on the machine.

Be safety-conscious.
Properly turn-off your
computer units, the UPS, the
AVR, ceiling fans and main
switch, and close the
windows before leaving the
laboratory.

Be conscious of cleanliness
& orderliness
Clean the computer and tables
regularly to keep them free from dust,
this might cause physical errors
Food is not allowed in the computer
laboratory. Food invites rats and
cockroaches, which might nibble wires
and cables, and cause FIRE.
Throw your garbage in the garbage
bins or keep it in your pocket

Be considerate.
Avoid placing cellphones beside the
computer monitors. A ringing
cellphone emits a magnetic force that
might damage the monitor or vice
versa.
NO SMOKING inside the computer
laboratory.
You can explore different windows
environment but DO NOT CHANGE

Be cautious.
Avoid using flask disk/USB
or other external
computer-related media
from an outside source.
These materials might be a
VIRUS carrier which can
contaminate and DAMAGE

Be organized and
systematic.
Each finished job should be
labeled.
Do not open and trash or
erase other peoples files
without their consent.

Be cost-efficient.
Refrain from using the
internet and downloading
files not related to the scope
of the lesson, unless needed
and with the teachers
consent.

Do not loiter during your ICT
class.
During brownouts, stay in
your classrooms.
Return the chairs before
leaving the computer room.
