JAVA Developer

Expected Role and Key Responsibilities:

Analysis, Development and Deployment


Responsible for good architecture, design, maintainability.
Produce high level technical documentations
Production release and ensure smooth deployment by co-ordinating to Support Teams.
Development and timely delivery of applications
Ensure quality of deliverables
Strong technical skills on Java and related frameworks like Hibernate/Spring.
Strong in database concepts like Partition/Indexing/Control Plan
Knowledge of at least one UI framework (Struts/Flex).
Willing to work on Production support issues.
Excellent communication skills
Background in Financial domain is good to have
Take part to the Production support activities (for live applications)
Candidate should have excellent working knowledge of Java APIs
The candidate should have worked on a full life-cycle project.
Optimization of Queries in Oracle

Mandatory Technical Skills:


Excellent working knowledge of Core Java/J2EE

Good hand on knowledge for Spring and hibernate


Good knowledge of Application servers: Tomcat, and/or WebLogic
Working Knowledge of Flex/Struts
Good working knowledge on SQL / PL-SQL/Oracle

Preferred Technical Skills:


Working Knowledge of Linux and/or UNIX

Knowledge of UML and related tools.

Organisation Preference (if any):


Structured, organised and a good communicator

Willing to share knowledge and skills with other developers within the team
Delivery-focused with a good eye for detail
Exhibits positive interpersonal and team skills
Must be able to work closely with business analysts located in Lisbon
Whilst able to work independently, should be a true team player
