Course Expectations:
1. All students are expected to keep their Chemistry Notebook organized and kept up to date with notes
and assignments. Notebooks will be checked without prior announcements. Bring notebooks to class
every day.
2. Daily work and homework are kept on a Stamp Sheet, which will be collected every two weeks.
Students are expected to attempt all assigned work.
3. Labs are very serious and each student is expected to follow the Laboratory Safety policies given out on
the first week of class. Failure to do so will result in the removal of the student from the lab area and
alternative written work will be assigned for the remainder of the semester for each laboratory
investigation.
4. Calculator us is a privilege, not a right. Using a calculator to cheat will result in the loss of the
calculator privilege.

Tutorials:
I will have tutoring before and after school by appointment. Students may seek assistance from other chemistry
teachers when I am not available.

Retests:
Any Student needing to retake a test or redo an assignment MUST attend a tutoring session. This must be done
in a timely manner. You have ONE WEEK from the time you receive the assignment back to attend a session
and retake it. You will only be able to retake the test up to an 85.

Absences/Late Work:
Students who are absent are allowed to turn in assignment for however many days they are absent. For

In this class, CHEATING WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. Even if you are working together in a group setting,
each individual is required to create his/her own conclusion and answers. Identical papers or portions of papers
will result in a ZERO for BOTH parties. DO NOT COPY others' work. DO NOT ALLOW OTHERS TO
COPY your work.
