Child Development Checklist

This document is a child development checklist used to observe and track a child's progress across several domains of development including self-esteem, emotional competence, social competence, physical development, cognitive development, spoken language, emergent writing and reading skills, art/music/dance skills, and dramatic play skills. Teachers use the checklist to place a check mark next to skills observed in the child and leave other skills blank if no opportunity to observe. The checklist allows caregivers to monitor a child's abilities and milestones over time to support their healthy development.
