Exp No: 4 Application of Op-Amp As Comparator Aim

This document describes an experiment using an operational amplifier as a comparator to design inverting and non-inverting comparators with positive and negative reference voltages, as well as a window detector. The procedures involve connecting the circuit components according to diagrams, applying a supply, measuring output values, and recording results. Circuit diagrams show designs for an inverting comparator, non-inverting comparator, and circuit to perform the mathematical operation V0=2V1-3V2.

Viva Questions:

1. What do you mean by CMRR?

2. What is the need to calculate CMRR?

Result:
The mathematical operations have been implemented using differential amplifier IC 741.
Also, the common mode gain, differential mode gain and CMRR of op-amp have been
measured.
