Magnaflux crack comparators assist in measuring the size of LPI indications.


Magnaflux crack comparators are used to measure the actual size of indications identified during the
LPI inspection process.
Our Comparator, 514048, measures crack sizes in inches ranging from 0.005" to 0.125". Comparator,
514049 measures crack sizes in metric units ranging from 0.2mm to 3.0mm and the Pratt & Whitney
Approved Comparator, 514050, measures crack sizes in inches between 0.010" to 0.180".

514048: General Purpose Comparator measured in increments 0.005" to 0.125"

514049: General Purpose Metric Crack Comparator measured in increments 0.2mm to 3.0mm

514050: Pratt & Whitney Crack Comparator measured in increments 0.010" to 0.180" and meets
Pratt & Whitney requirements ( P&W Reference - TAM 135273)
