UAPL is a 100% owned 53 MW quick rental power plant in Ashuganj, Bangladesh that was completed in 120 days and started commercial operations in June 2011. It operates 14 natural gas powered generator units with a total capacity of 55.55 MW. The plant is connected via overhead transmission lines to the national grid. SPGCL is a 28 MW independent power producer in Sylhet, Bangladesh that started operating in October 2013. It has 3 natural gas engine units supplied by Rolls-Royce. SPGCL aims to provide reliable power to industrial and commercial customers in the region, with its major client being the Rural Electrification Board. It has a gas supply agreement with a local distribution company.

UAPL is a 100% owned company of UG located in Ashuganj, Brahmanbaria. It is a


Quick Rental, 53 MW, power plant supplying electricity to BPDB, contracted on 23rd
December 2010. Completed in a record time of 120 days, UAPL attained COD on 22nd
June 2011.
UAPL runs 14 units of Gas Gensets of Germany, each with a capacity of 3.968 MW
(55.55 MW gross). The fuel used is Natural Gas supplied by Titas Gas Transmission
and Distribution Co. Ltd.
Project area is 1.5 acres; project cost is BDT 250 crores.
UAPL is connected by overhead 250 KV line to the 230 KV switchyard of Ashuganj
Power plant through 11/230 KV substation.

SPGCL: Shajahanullah Power Generation Company Ltd.


SPGCL is a Natural Gas fired, 28 MW Commercially Independent Power Producer
(CIPP) located in Kumargaon, Sylhet with the aim of providing quality and
uninterrupted power to the industrial and commercial projects in region. Rural
Electrification Board is SPGCLs major client.
SPGCL was commissioned on October 2013 and comprises of 3 units of Rolls-Royce
Norway B35: 40V20AG2 engines.
Gas Supply Agreement is signed with Jalalabad Gas Transmission & Distribution
Limited on 5th June 2012.
