113.119- Students recognize, evaluate, and prepare for a rapidly growing environment.
Students analyze the primary function so human resource management which include:
recruitment, selection, training, developement and compensation.
Objectives
Classify the basic human resources functions such as recruiting, selecting, training,
developing and compensating
Materials and Resources
Computer/Projector
Guest Speaker
Mock scenario materials
Anticipatory Set(the Hook)
Teacher will show clips from the movie Office Space as to "what not to do" in a place of
employment and how to interview .Students will be shown outfits that are appropriate and
inappropriate for an interview.

Input
Teacher will explain how to be interviewed, how to dress for success and social situations
that you could encounter in the interview and in the workplace environment

Teacher will demonstrate an interivew using a student


Teacher will demonstrate what to wear in an interview
Teacher will ask students to write questions for mock interivew.
Teacher will ask students to write questions for guest speaker.
Teacher will ask students questions regarding the video clipas.
Teacher will demonstrate interivew with student as an example.
Teacher will have a Guest Speaker from a local business visit the class and talk with
students about gaining and keeping employment.
Task Analysis of the Interview Process.
Videotape Interview in case the student isn't comfortable with peers.
Sequential order of an interview.
Teacher will ask students to mock interivew each other and give peer feedback.
Teacher will be monitoring the students during the interviews in case there are questions
or concerns
Students will view additional clips from a moview(ie, Working Girl) to demonstrate success
in pursuing a job as well as how to treat those whom supervise you and whom you
supervise. Students will have open-ended questions of they liked or didn't like

Teacher will briefly demonstrate what to do in an interview while being questioned by the
Guest Speaker
