About Me
Im a very creative individual with a passion for art, design and photography, this is reflected through my university
course - Furniture Design - and through my volunteer photography work. Ive had various work experience through
both jobs and voluntary work, ranging from office work to experience in the design industry and working with children.
Since finishing university Ive exhibited my furniture at New Designers in London and started working as a sales
assistant at CeX. Other pieces of my furniture are currently on exhibition at Chatsworth Houses Make Yourself
Comfortable Exhibition around the table in their Great Dining Hall.
I recently spent five months working as a design assistant for Swedish design group Front, in their new London office.
Working alongside Sofia Lagerkvist I was responsible for sketching ideas for briefs, making full scale and small scale
models and mock-ups, producing CAD models and renderings using Rhinoceros and Keyshot, photographing models
and sketches, editing using Adobe Photoshop and collating information to produce documents for clients with Adobe
Indesign
Prior to this I was working as an administration assistant for The Home Office. I was responsible for completing
numerous different tasks using complex computer and filing systems and writing letters and returning post to
applicants. I used my organisational skills to carry out extensive tasks such as organising and bundling applicant files
for court and memorising the lengthy process required to input new applicants into the computer system. I had to
work both individually and in a team, under pressure to ensure vital targets were met.
I do a lot of photography for events and shows, most recently I was asked by a family friend to photograph his
wedding, I was an official photographer for Sheffield design week 2014 and the universitys Pole4Purpose charity
dance show in 2013.
In June 2014 I prepared and taught a two day cardboard furniture workshop at my old high school with two classes
of fourteen and fifteen year old girls. The classes were shown a presentation of examples of cardboard furniture
and encouraged to come up with their own designs for tables in teams, they created small paper models of their
individual ideas and then worked together to combine them into a final team design for a full sized model. The
models were judged on their stability and appearance and a winning team chosen. This was both a challenging and
rewarding experience as many students who werent enthusiastic about design were reluctant to join in, yet by the
end of the workshop theyd produced well thought out designs and were pleased to be involved.
Im also a very energetic and sporty person, Im a member in our university snow sports club and have a new-found
love for snowboarding and freestyle, taking trips to the indoor slope as often as possible and going on annual ski
holidays. Im also a founding member of the Wirral Whipiteres Roller Derby team, attending training sessions twice
a week, both with my home team and my local team at university, depending on where I am.

put out, the number of waiting customers, the tidiness of the store and whether or not there are customers looking
