Cad Rubric

The teacher PD training agenda covers using a CAD web application for a geometry project. Teachers will download the app, learn how to use the program, and create 3D shapes without seeing the student rubric. Then, teachers will collaborate with the presenter to build their own rubric for students, which will be similar to the sample rubric focusing on 3D geometric shapes and their area formulas. The session aims to align the project with state standards on basic geometric terms and constructions.

Teacher Professional Development (PD) training Agenda:

Go over computer requirements (internet access, computer/tablet, printers)

Download CAD web2.0 app
o An email telling teachers how to do this before the PD could be sent
Demonstrate program setup and usage
Have teachers draw the 3D objects in the student rubric (without letting them see it) and print
Engage teachers by having them collaborate as a group with me to create a rubric for their own
students
o Lead teachers to build a rubric similar to mine
o Show teachers my version for comparison
Discuss other ideas and brainstorm
