.J-17060/6/2014- Aajeevika Skills Government of Indi ‘Ministry of Rural Development Department of Rural Development (Gkills Division) New Delhi, dated. 15" June 2018 ‘Notification No 29 /2016 ‘Sub: Treatment of applications submitted by Champion Employers, under DDU- GKY-reg Its stated that under Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (ODU-GKY) a registered Project Implementing Agency (PIA) is eligible to become a ‘Champion Employer for DDU-GKY projects on satisfaction of following condition, inter- alia: i. PlAwill provide wage employment to at least 10,000 candidates in the first two years. ii PUA wil set up and brand its Skil Training Center as “ - DDU- GKY Skills Academy" ji, PIA will alow its students an opportunity to get diferent levels of certification ‘over a 2 year period with corresponding career progression so that in two years a simple trainee member may raise to the level of a supervisor. 2. this further stated that Ministry of Rural Development (MoRC) identifies, and tenters into a MoU with PIAS who satisfy the above mentioned conditions. So far MoRD hhas identified and shortisted four Champion Employers so far (Annexure). MORD is ‘also continually in the process of identifying and short listing Champion Employers for DDU-GKY. and details of MoU signed with such Champion Employers will be notified by [MoRD from time-to-time 3. tis also stated that Section 5.12 of revamped DDU-GKY Guiielines provides that Champion Employers shall be prioritized in sanction of skil development projects in order to achieve the objectives of the program 4. Accordingly, in order to enable implementation ofthe provisions of Guidelines it is stated that all States shall consider the project applications of Champion Employers, ‘with whom MoRD has signed MoU, on priory as per Guidelines. Where a project application by a Champion Employer is pending with a State for more than 6 weeks (respective of an Action Plan State or a Year Programme State), such applications ray be taken up for consideration by the EC of NRLM in MoRD in consttation wit the State concerned. 4, This order shall come into effect from the date of issue of the notation (SB.
