CONSTITUTION
OF
THE STUDENT GOVERNMENT
OF
NORTHWEST HIGH SCHOOL
JACKSON, MICHIGAN
PREAMBLE
We, the students of Northwest High School, exist not only as individuals, but also as a
community. The purpose of this constitution is to unify our student community by
establishing this Student Government.
We establish this constitution in order to improve the administration of student affairs, to
encourage the greatest level of cooperation, success, and communication, and to better
the quality of student life in cooperation with the staff and community of Northwest
Schools.
Article I - NAME AND MEMBERSHIP OF THE SCHOOLS STUDENTS
Section 1: We, the students of Northwest High School, shall be known as the student
body of Northwest High School.
Section 2: Upon enrolling at Northwest High School, all students shall automatically
become members of the student body.
Article II - STUDENT GOVERNMENT
Section 1: The Student Government shall be the official voice of the student body. The
issues of the Student Government should be in the best interest of the student body.
The student body shall always be informed of what the Student Government does.
Article III - THE CONSTITUTION OF THE STUDENT GOVERNMENT
Section 1: The Student Government shall follow and maintain this constitution.
Section 2: All amendments to this constitution must pass by at least a two-thirds
majority vote of the Student Government.
Section 3: All changes to the appendices of this constitution must pass by a majority
vote of the Student Government.
Article IV - THE PURPOSE OF THE STUDENT GOVERNMENT
Section 1: To encourage and promote student participation in high school affairs and
activities.
Section 2: To maintain good relations between the student body and the community.

Section 3: To develop, sponsor, and promote activities that will enrich the social,
cultural, and academic life at Northwest High School.
Section 4: To promote communication between the students of Northwest High School
and the Student Government.
Article V - RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE STUDENT GOVERNMENT
Section 1: To conduct all high school elections.
Section 2: To publicize and inform the student body of its actions by posting a record of
each meeting for the student body.
Section 3: To represent the student body and their concerns to the schools
administration, Board of Education, and staff concerning issues in the high school.
Section 4: To advise and aid, as needed, all student oriented clubs and activities in an
effort to ensure financial stability.
Section 5: To develop, sponsor, and promote activities that will enrich the social,
cultural, and academic life at Northwest High School.
Section 6: To act with no regard to race, color, gender, etc. of the students they
represent and show no favoritism in any actions or decisions they make.
Article VI - STUDENT GOVERNMENT POWERS
Section 1: To exercise all legislative and executive power specified here for the efficient
functioning of the Student Government as approved.
Section 2: To allocate and regulate funds raised for the Student Government.
Section 3: To enforce regulations governing all high school student body elections.
Section 4: To review any of its members.

Section 5: To take whatever actions are necessary to implement the powers stated
above as approved.
Article VII - MEMBERSHIP AND TERM OF STUDENT GOVERNMENT
Section 1: The Student Government shall consist of elected representatives from each
grade (9-12). Grade representatives shall consist of four elected class officers
(President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer) and one representative for every
30 students in their grade according to the schools official count at the time of elections.
In addition, there shall be elected a President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer
of the Student Government. A School Board Liaison may also be appointed through an
application process as an officer of the Student Government.
Section 2: The Student Government officers shall be elected within the last 30 days of
the final term of the school year. They shall hold office during summer break, first term,
second term, and final term of the next school year. In case of a vacancy in the Student

Government Presidents position, the Student Government Vice President will take over
the duties of the Student Government President as specified in Article VIII. In case of a
vacancy in the Student Government Vice President, Secretary, and/or Treasurers office,
the Student Government has the right to hold a replacement election. Persons from
within the current Student Government have a right to run for a vacant Student
Government Vice President, Secretary, and/or Treasurers position.
A. The School Board Liaison shall be appointed within the last 30 days of the
final term of the school year. They shall hold office during summer break, first
term, second term, and final term of the next school year. In case of a vacancy in
the School Board Liaisons position, the application process will be reopened for
a period of no longer than 30 days.
Section 3: Class officers and representatives shall be elected during the last 30 days of
the final term of the school year. In case of a vacancy within a Class Officers position,
individual Student (Class) Councils have the right to fill vacant Class Officer Positions
by holding replacement elections within their Student (Class) Councils with the approval
of the Student Government Advisors and their Class Advisors.
Section 4: If a Student (Class) Council Representatives position is open as a direct
result of Student (Class) Council replacement elections, those students who lost
elections within that class will get consideration for the open Representative positions.
The class council must vote within two weeks of the election period to either fill that
position with those appropriate candidates previously mentioned or leave the position
vacant.
Article VIII DUTIES OF THE MEMBERS
Section 1: Student Government President
A. The President will prepare Government and Government
Officer meeting agendas and conduct these meetings.
B. The President is responsible for keeping Student
Government
members informed about the time and place of Student Government
activities.
C. The President has the power to establish and delegate
committees whenever he or she sees fit.
D. The President will only vote in an attempt to break a tie.
E. The President will act as a liaison between the schools
administration, the Student Government, and the student body.
Section 2: Student Government Vice President
A. The Vice President is responsible for assisting the President
with his or her duties.
B. The Vice President is responsible for taking charge of the
Student Government when the President is not able to do so.

C. If the President is no longer eligible to fulfill his/her duties,


the Vice President will fill that position for the remainder of the school year.
Section 3: Student Government Secretary
A. The Secretary is responsible for keeping the minutes of all
Student Government meetings.
B. The Secretary is at the disposal of the Student Government
to carry out any odd jobs that it may have, such as correspondence.
Section 4: Student Government Treasurer
A. The Treasurer is responsible for keeping track of the Student
Government budget and keeping the Student Government informed of all
expenditures and monetary gains.
B. The Treasurer is in charge of all fundraisers that are
conducted by the Student Government.
Section 5: Student Government School Board Liaison
A. The School Board Liaison will collect information about activities
that occur in the high school and will then present them to the Board of
Education.
B. The Liaison will become a voting member of Student Government.
If the student appointed as Liaison is already a member of the Student
Government, they will not receive an additional vote.
C. The Liaison will be responsible for attending both officer meetings
and Student Government meetings. The will also be responsible for attending
Student Government planned functions.
Section 6: Student Government Officers (as a group)
A. All Student Government Officers are responsible for
planning, leading, and organizing Student Government events.
B. At least one of the Student Government Officers will be
responsible for taking attendance at all applicable Student Government
events.
C. All Student Government Officers are responsible for notifying
the student body and community (when needed) of events, decisions, etc.
D. All Student Government Officers have the right to reassign
and delegate duties of the Student Government as needed with the
Student Government Advisors approval.
Section 7: Student Government Representatives

A. The Representatives are required to be at Student


Government meetings and events.
B. The Representatives need to be positive role models for the
rest of the school to follow.
Section 9: Student Government Advisors
A. The Advisors are responsible for regulating the Student
Government events and keeping all of the Student Government events in
order.
B. The Advisors are to help and guide the Student Government
whenever asked to do so.
C. The Advisors are not to stop the decisions of the Student
Government unless the decisions violate school code, the constitution of
the Student Government, or raise monetary concerns.
D. The Advisors may, however, offer their opinions and
suggestions.
E. The Advisors are to take an active role in the guidance and
leadership of the Government.
F. The Advisors are to remember that all projects are to be
student driven.
Section 10: Student (Class) Council Presidents
A. The (Class) Council Presidents will be responsible for
preparing their Council and Class meeting agendas and running their
individual class meetings and Councils.
B. The (Class) Council Presidents are responsible for keeping
their class informed of their class events.
C. The (Class) Council Presidents will give the Student
Government a schedule of their class events.
D. The (Class) Council Presidents do not vote during their
individual Council meetings unless it is to break a tie.
E. The (Class) Council Presidents will act as liaisons between
their class, their Council, the Student Government, the student body, and
the administration.
Section 11: Student (Class) Council Vice Presidents
A. The (Class) Council Vice Presidents are responsible for aiding their
Council Presidents whenever they are needed.
B. The (Class) Council Vice Presidents are responsible for taking
charge of their Student Council when their Council Presidents are not able to
do so.
Section 12: Student (Class) Council Secretaries

A. The (Class) Council Secretaries are responsible for keeping the


minutes of all of their Student Council meetings.
B. The (Class) Council Secretaries are responsible for taking
attendance at all of their Student Council events.
C. The (Class) Council Secretaries are at the disposal of their Student
Council to carry out any odd jobs that it might have, such as correspondence.
Section 13: Student (Class) Council Treasurer
A. The (Class) Council Treasurers are responsible for keeping track of
their Council budget and keeping their Council informed of all expenditures
and monetary gains.
B. The (Class) Council Treasurers are in charge of all fundraisers that
are conducted by their Student Council.
Section 14: Student (Class) Council Representatives
A. The (Class) Council Representatives are to be at their Council
meetings and events.
B. The (Class) Council Representatives need to be positive role
models for the rest of the school to follow.
C. The (Class) Council Representatives are to keep their class
informed of class events and decisions.
Section 15. Student (Class) Council Officers (as a group)

attendance at all of their class and Council events.
C. All (Class) Council Officers are responsible for notifying their class,
the Student Government, the student body, and the community (when
needed) of events, decisions, etc.
D. All (Class) Council Officers have the right to reassign and delegate
duties of the Student Council as needed with their Student Council Advisors
approval.
Section 16: Student Council Advisors
A. The (Class) Council Advisors are responsible for regulating their Council
events and keeping all of their Council events in order.
B. The (Class) Council Advisors are to help and guide their Council whenever
asked to do so.
C. The (Class) Council Advisors are not to stop the decisions of their Council
unless the decisions violate school code, the constitution of the Student
Government/Council, or raise monetary concerns.

D. The (Class) Council Advisors may, however, offer their opinions and
suggestions.
E. The (Class) Council Advisors are responsible for taking an active role in
the guidance and leadership of the Council.
F. The (Class) Council Advisors are to remember that all projects are to be
student driven.
Article IX QUALIFICATIONS OF STUDENT GOVERNMENT MEMBERS
Section 1: A candidate for any Student Government and/or Student (Class) Council
office and the School Board Liaisons position must be officially enrolled at Northwest
High School or in Kidder Middle Schools eighth grade class at the time elections are
held.
Section 2: A candidate for any Student Government and/or Student (Class) Council
office and the School Board Liaisons position must have official appropriate grade
status according to the schools administration at the time elections are held.
Section 3: The Student Government President must be senior when his/her term is
active.
Section 4: The Student Government Vice President must be a junior or senior when
his/her term is active.
Section 5: The Student Government School Board Liaison must be a sophomore,
junior, or senior when his/her term in office is active.
Section 6: A candidate running for a Student Government officers position or applying
for the School Board Liaisons position (not a Class Officers position) must be passing
all of their classes and have a minimum 2.75 cumulative grade point average at the time
elections are held.
Section 7: A candidate running for a Student (Class) Council office (including
representatives) must be passing at least five classes and have a minimum 2.5
cumulative grade point average.
Section 8: A candidate for a Student Government or Student (Class) Council position
must not be on any type of probation for violation of any school rules or regulations.
Section 9: All election and application packets must be filed and checked with the
existing Student Government advisor(s) at least one week before elections.
Section 10: Nomination petitions for Student Government President, Vice President,
Secretary, and Treasurer, as well as School Board Liaison, shall require a petition of at
least 100 signatures, not repeated on the same petition, by 100 different Northwest High
School (of any grade) and/or eighth grade Kidder Middle School students.
Section 11: Nomination petitions for Student (Class) Council Presidents, Vice
Presidents, Secretaries, Treasurers, and Representatives shall require a petition of at
least 50 signatures, not repeated on the same petition, by 50 different Northwest High
School and/or eighth grade Kidder Middle School students. All signatures MUST be
from students within the same grade as the person running for that open position.

Article X ELECTION OF STUDENT GOVERNMENT MEMBERS


Section 1: Elections are to be held with closed ballots.
Section 2: Ballots are to be counted by the Student Government advisor(s) within a
timely manner.
Section 3: Election packets are to be accepted or denied by the first day of the
campaign week.
Section 4: Election packet information: see Appendix B (Student Government) and
Appendix C (Student Council)
Section 5: All candidates for Student Government and Student (Class) Council Offices
may campaign in any school appropriate manner they see fit during the full week before
the election date. All signs, flyers, announcements, etc. handed out or placed around
the school must be pre-approved by the Student Government advisor(s) and the
buildings administration.
Section 6: All candidates are only allowed to run for one office within their own Student
(Class) Council. All candidates are only allowed to run for one office within the Student
Government Officers Council. Students may however run for a Student Government
office, a Student Council office, and apply to become the School Board Liaison.
Section 7: At the end of the application period, if there are more Student (Class)
Council Representative Positions available within a grade, students who run for Class
Officer positions but do not win within that same grade will get first consideration for
those open Representative positions. Each of these persons will first be asked about
their interest in an open Representative position. If there are more students interested
in open Representative positions than there are positions available, then the newly
elected Student (Class) Council for that grade will hold a run off/replacement election
within their Student (Class) Council (see Article VII).
Article XI APPOINTMENT OF STUDENT GOVERNMENT SCHOOL BOARD
LIAISON
Section 1: Application packets are to be completed and turned in by the designated
date and time to the Student Government Advisor(s) by any interested student who
meets the previously stated criteria.
Section 2: Application packets are to be accepted or declined within 10 days of the final
due date.
Section 3: Application packet information: see Appendix D.
Section 4: A panel including, but not limited to, the current Student Government
Advisors, school and/or district administrators, and school board members will review all
applications and select the School Board Liaison.
Article XII - IMPEACHMENT OF STUDENT GOVERNMENT MEMBERS
Section 1: Concerned members of the student body, members of the Student
Government, staff members, and/or members of the schools administration may

approach the current Student Government advisor(s) regarding concerns about


individual Student Government members.
Section 2: The Student Government advisor(s) will deal with the issue in an appropriate
and timely fashion.
Section 3: For filling a position that is vacated by impeachment, refer to Article VII,
Sections 2 and 3.

Article XIII STUDENT GOVERNMENT COMMITTEES
Section 1: The Student Government will keep four standing committees throughout the
school year; blood drive committee, fundraising committee, dance committee, and spirit
committee.
Section 2: The Student Government officers will divide the duties of the four standing
committees. In the absence of an officer, the remaining committees can be overseen by
a class officer.
Section 3: Ad Hoc Committees will be formed throughout the school year as needed to
run Student Government functions.
Section 4: Student Government members and Class Council officers will be given
priority to chair these committees. In the absence of a Student Government or Class
Council chairperson, any member of the student body may sign up to chair a committee.
Section 4: Any member of the student body may serve on an Ad Hoc Committee.
Section 4: Committee chairs must present all committee plans to the full Student
Government for approval before moving forward on events. Meetings held must use the
Committee Agenda Form.

Article XIII MEETINGS
Section 1: The Student Government will hold regularly scheduled meetings at least
once each month during the school year.
Section 2: The Student Government will hold additional meetings according to
necessity.
Section 3: The Student Government officers will meet at least twice each month during
the school year.
Article XIV NORTHWEST HIGH SCHOOL HOMECOMING INFORMATION
Section 1: Homecoming General Information
A. The Student Government will request to sponsor Homecoming
festivities during the fall of each school year.
Section 2: Homecoming Court Information

A. Homecoming Court
1. The Senior Class shall elect six male students and six
female students from their class to be part of the Homecoming Court.
a.
All Homecoming Court members
must have official senior academic status according to the
high school administration at the time of the election.
b.
You must have a 2.0 G.P.A. or
higher in the last completed term.
c.
You must be in the grade that you
entered high school with (you must be on track to graduate
with your original class) and be nominated by that grade for
court.
d.
You must have been involved in
at least one school-sanctioned activity that has an advisor
during the calendar year prior to the election (this involves
sports, clubs, or any Northwest High School sponsored activity
as determined by the high school administration).
e.
You must not have any
suspensions from school from the beginning of the previous
term to the date of voting and also through the week of the
activity if you are elected.
f.
You must show positive
citizenship in and outside of school during the past calendar
year. This includes but is not limited to alcohol violations and
arrests.
2. Each senior will be offered the opportunity to vote for
six male
and six female candidates.
a.
Votes improperly cast will not be
counted.
b.
The current Student Government
Advisor(s) will count votes.
3. The top six male and six female seniors with the most
votes will
constitute the court.
a.
To resolve a tie for the six
positions, additional court
members may be added, as long as all court members
meet with the above stated criteria.
b.
In the event of a tie in one
gender, the corresponding
gender will have an equal amount of candidates on
their court.

c.
Any person added to the court in
the event of a tie will be the person with the next highest vote
total.
4. Once the candidates are selected, the Senior Class
will elect the King and Queen via ballot.
a.
Votes improperly cast will not be
counted.
b.
The current Student Government
Advisor(s) will count the votes.
c.
Ties will stand in the King and
Queen voting.
B. Homecoming Court Ceremony
1. The ceremony will occur during the halftime of the Homecoming
football game.
2. The current Student Government Officers will determine who will
crown the King and Queen.
3. The current Student Government Officers and
Advisor(s) will work to plan the ceremony with the current high school
Administration, Band Director, and Athletic Director.
C. Homecoming Court Expenditures:
1. The current Student Government Officers may choose
to pay for
the rental of each male court candidates tuxedo.
2. The Student Government will reimburse female candidates up to
an equal amount spent by the Student Government on each of
the male candidates tuxedos, if receipts are provided.
Section 3: Donations
A. If food donations are solicited from local businesses, then all
donations
will be coordinated through the Student Government.

Section 4: Dress Up Days
A. The Student Government may choose to establish students dressup days during Homecoming week.
B. The Student Government may choose to create a point system for
dress-up days that contributes to the overall Homecoming week
competition.

Section 5: Floats
A. The Student Government and the high school administration will be
responsible for setting float building days and times.
B. Each class will be allowed to spend up to $300.00 from their own
treasury.

Section 6: Homecoming Games
A. The Student Government Officers and Advisor(s), high school
administrators, and the Athletic Director will determine the date, time, and
location of Homecoming Games.
B. The Student Government will determine the schedule of the games
including rules and descriptions of each event at least one week prior to the
date of the games.
Section 7: Homecoming Dance
A.
The Homecoming dance will be held on the Friday of Homecoming
week or the Saturday immediately following.
1. The date of the Homecoming dance will be decided by the
Student Government and will be subject to approval by the high school
administration.
2. The time of the Homecoming dance is to be decided by the
Student Government and is subject to approval by the high school
administration.
B.
The Student Government Officers and Advisor(s) have the right to
assign a committee and its chairperson to take care of all preparations for the
Homecoming dance.
1. The Student Government shall prepare all arrangements needed
to host the Homecoming dance, with the approval of the high
school administration.
Section 8: Homecoming Point Tabulation
A. The Student Government has the right to assign a point system to
the Homecoming festivities.
B. The Student Government may choose to award prize money to the
class that wins the overall Homecoming competition.
Article XV NORTHWEST HIGH SCHOOL SNOWFEST INFORMATION
Section 1: Snowfest General Information

A. The Student Government will request to sponsor Snowfest


festivities
during the winter/spring of each school year.
Section 2: Snowfest Court Information
A. Snowfest Court - Senior Class
1. The Senior Class shall elect six male students and six
female students from their class to be part of the Snowfest Court.
a. All Senior Class Snowfest Court members must have
official senior academic status according to the high
school administration at the time of the election.
b. You must have a 2.0 G.P.A. or higher in the last
completed term.
c. You must be in the grade that you entered high school
with (you must be on track to graduate with your original
class) and be nominated by that grade for court.
d.
You must have been involved in
at least one school-sanctioned activity that has an advisor
during the calendar year prior to the election (this involves
sports, clubs, or any Northwest High School sponsored activity
as determined by the high school administration).
e.
You must not have any
suspensions from school from the beginning of the previous
term to the date of voting and also through the week of the
activity if you are elected.
f.
You must show positive
citizenship in and outside of school during the past calendar
year. This includes but is not limited to alcohol violations and
arrests.
2. Any senior elected to the Homecoming Court may not
be on the Snowfest Court.
3. Each senior will be offered the opportunity to vote for
six male and six female candidates.
a. Votes improperly cast will not be counted.
b. The current Student Government Advisor(s) or Student
Council Advisor(s) will count the votes.
4. The top six male and six female seniors with the most
votes will constitute the senior court.
a. To resolve a tie for the positions, additional court
members may be added, as long as all court members
meet with the above stated criteria.
b. In the event of a tie in one gender, the corresponding
gender will have an equal amount of candidates on their
court.

c. Any person added to the court in the event of a tie will be


the person with the next highest vote total.
5. Once the candidates are selected, the Senior Class
will elect the King and Queen from the Senior Class Snowfest Court
members via ballot.
a. Votes improperly cast will not be counted.
b. The current Student Government Advisor(s) or Student
Council Advisor(s) will count the votes.
c. Ties will stand in the King and Queen voting.
B. Snowfest Court Junior, Sophomore, and Freshman Classes:
1.
The Junior, Sophomore, and Freshman Classes shall
elect
three male students and three female students from their own classes in
a preliminary vote. One male and one female from each grade will then
be elected to be part of the Snowfest Court.
a. All Junior, Sophomore, and Freshman Class Snowfest
Court members must have official class academic status
according to the high school administration at the time of
the election.
b.You must have a 2.0 G.P.A. or higher in the last completed term.
c.You must be in the grade that you entered high school
with (you must be on track to graduate with your original class)
and be nominated by that grade for court.
d.You must have been involved in at least one school-sanctioned
activity that has an advisor during the calendar year prior to the
election (this involves sports, clubs, or any Northwest High School
sponsored activity as determined by the high school
administration).
e.You must not have any suspensions from school from the
beginning of the previous term to the date of voting and also
through the week of the activity if you are elected.
f.You must show positive citizenship in and outside of school
during the past calendar year. This includes but is not limited to
alcohol violations and arrests.
2.
Each member of the Junior, Sophomore, and
Freshman Classes will be offered the opportunity to vote for three male
and three female candidates within their own grade.
a. Votes improperly cast will not be counted.
b. The current Student Government Advisor(s) or Student
Council Advisor(s) will count votes.
3.
The top three males and three females in each of the
Junior, Sophomore, and Freshman Classes with the most votes will be
placed on a ballot and one male and one female from those placed on
each classes ballot will become part of the Snowfest court.
a. To resolve a tie for the three male and three female

candidates in each class, additional court members may


be added, as long as all court members meet with the
above stated criteria.
b. In the event of a tie in one gender, the corresponding
gender will have an equal amount of candidates on their
court.
c. Any person added to the court in the event of a tie will be
the person with the next highest vote total.
4. The male and female from the three males and three
females in each of the Junior, Sophomore, and Freshman classes with
the most votes will constitute the underclassmen representatives on
the Snowfest Court.
a. Ties will stand in the final Junior, Sophomore, and
Freshman Class voting.
C. Snowfest Court Ceremony
1. The ceremony will occur during the halftime of the Snowfest
basketball game.
2. The current Student Government Officers will
determine who will crown the King and Queen and the Courts
underclassmen representatives.
3. The current Student Government Officers and
Advisor(s) will work to plan the ceremony with the current high school
administrators, Band Director, and Athletic Director.
D. Snowfest Court Expenditures
1. The current Student Government Officers may choose to pay for
the rental of each male court candidates tuxedo.
2. The Student Government will reimburse female candidates up to
an equal amount spent by Student Government on each male
candidates tuxedo, if receipts are provided.
Section 3: Donations

donations
will be coordinated through the Student Government.

Section 4: Dress up Days

A. The Student Government and the high school administration will be
responsible for setting decorating dates and times.
B. Each class will be allowed to spend up to $100.00 from their own
class
treasury.

Section 6: Snowfest Games
A. The Student Government Officers and Advisor(s), high school
administrators, and the Athletic Director will determine the date, time, and
location of Snowfest games.
B. The Student Government will determine the schedule of the games
including rules and descriptions of each event at least one week prior to the
date of the games.
Section 7: Snowfest Dance
A. The Snowfest dance will be held on the Friday of Snowfest week or
the Saturday immediately following.
1. The date of the Snowfest dance will be decided by the Student
Government and will be subject to approval by the high school
administration.
2. Time of the Snowfest dance is to be decided by the Student
Government and is subject to approval by the high school
administration.

B. The Student Government Officers and Advisor(s) have the right to


assign a committee and its chairperson to take care of all preparations for the
Snowfest dance.
C. The Student Government shall prepare all arrangements needed to
host the Snowfest dance, with the approval of the high school administration.
Section 8: Snowfest Competition
A. The Student Government has the right to assign a point system for
the Snowfest activities.
B. The Student Government may choose to award prize money to the
class that wins the overall Snowfest competition.
Article XV AMENDMENTS TO THIS CONSTITUTION
Section 1: All amendments will be ratified by a two-thirds majority vote of the Student
Government.
Article XVI - RATIFICATION OF THE CONSTITUTION
Section 1: Ratification of the constitution will be made by at least a three-fourths
majority vote of the Student Government.
Article XVII - POSTING OF THE CONSTITUTION
Section 1: This constitution shall be posted at all times where it is visible to members of
the student body and the schools administration.
