Math Lesson Plan2

This lesson teaches 2nd grade students how to count money. Students will receive a caterpillar worksheet to count money and write down the amounts. The teacher will provide money cards and have students count amounts in groups and on their own whiteboards. Students may struggle by drawing the number instead of the money value, so the teacher will explain the value of numbers before having students draw money. An engaging activity at the end will have students count money to purchase a toy, practicing their new skills. The goal is for students to learn to represent and interpret monetary values.
