CAPTIVE
About mans encapsulation they were never wrong
For although I have free will to say what I want
The world outside will overwhelm my fearless spirit inside
No matter how laudable I think my ideas could be
My own tongue strangles itself not to utter a word,
dreadful of dislike
It seems absurd that such independence
In a breeze can be conquered by the mere image of the
jury in my mind
Who, with their gavels ready to be pounded are just
waiting round the corner to mock me so bad.
