Caida Libre

This document discusses free fall and the factors that influence it. Free fall is defined as the motion of a body where the only force acting upon it is gravity, and it therefore accelerates downward at 9.8 m/s^2. The acceleration of gravity is the same for all objects and does not depend on their mass. In a vacuum with no air resistance, all objects in free fall will reach the ground at the same time. The document also describes an experiment where a metal ball is dropped into a glass of water to demonstrate free fall under gravity.

FREE FALL

INTRODUCTION
Is known as free fall from a height when a body is dropped to allow the
force of gravity acting on it, with zero initial velocity.
In this movement the movement is in one direction that corresponds to
the vertical axis ("Y").
Is a uniformly accelerated motion and acceleration acting on the bodies
of gravity is represented by the letter g, as the gravity acceleration
speed of the body increases, the acceleration is taken positive.
In a vacuum, all bodies tend to fall with equal speed.
An object is to fall freely under the sole influence of gravity. Is known as
acceleration of gravity. Y is defined as the change in velocity
experienced by the bodies in free fall. The value of the acceleration
that any mass subjected to a constant force depends on the intensity of
the force and this, in the case of falling bodies, is simply the attraction
of the earth.
All such bodies have a movement downward acceleration whose value
depends on where they are. bodies left in freefall increase in speed
(down) at 9.8 m / s every second.
The acceleration of gravity is the same for all objects and is
independent of the masses of these.
In free fall is not taken into account air resistance. If air resistance is
neglected and it is assumed that no free-fall acceleration varies with
altitude, then the vertical motion of a freely falling object is equivalent
to motion with constant acceleration

EXPERIMENT
MATERIALS:
a glass
water
a ball of metal

PROCEDURE :
1.- filled the glass with water
2.- metal ball you drop on the glass
3.- wait until fall to the bottom

HYPOTHESIS:
The ball reached the bottom of the glass as it is under the influence of
gravity which will make the ball fall

RESULTS:
Results were expected to hypothesis.

COMMENTS:
It should wet the ball before dipping and release after having been
immersed. If we do so is likely to sliding regime ball in the water is
turbulent at the start, leading to a much more complicated until it is
stabilized with a uniform motion movement.

CONCLUSIONS:
* the Free fall from a height when a body is dropped to allow the force
of gravity acting on it.
* the Initial speed is always zero.
* Everything freely falling body has a vertical path
* The Gravity is a force that is pulling the object down.
* In The free fall is not taken into account air resistance
