Modifiedbassmethod

The document describes the Modified Bass toothbrushing method. It indicates that the Modified Bass method is a combination of the Bass and Modified methods, and is the most accepted and effective technique. The method involves placing the toothbrush at a 45 degree angle to the teeth with the bristles directed into the gingival sulcus. Short vibratory strokes are used to brush the buccal, lingual, and occlusal surfaces of each tooth group in a systematic sequence. The advantages are that it is effective for plaque removal and provides good gingival stimulation, while disadvantages include potential injury to gingival margins and being time consuming.
