Enable, Disable and Delete Input History

In SAP, the input history is saved by default but can be enabled or disabled. To disable it, go to a transaction code, press SPACE+CONTROL and right click, then select "Disable history." To enable it again, select "Use Default Settings." The input history can also be deleted by going to Customizing -> Local Layout -> Options, expanding "Local data," selecting "History," and clicking "Clear History."

Introduction:

In SAP by default the input history is saved. This can be enabled or disabled. Lets see how this can be
achieved.
Steps:
1. Go to any transaction code (SE38/SE24/SE37) and enter space. The program history will appear.

2.

This can be disabled by clicking SPACE+CONTROL and right click.

3. By default Use Default Settings will be selected. Click Disable history to disable.

4. Now we cant see the input history.

5. Enable the history.

6. Check the history. The history of the program names will be available.

In this way, we can enable/disable the input history.


The history can be deleted. Here are the steps.
1. Go customize local layout->Options.

2. Expand Local data, Select History and click on Clear History button. The input history will be
deleted.
