Interview Questions

1. Tell me about yourself

I am a freshmen at Clare High school. During work or other
activities, I try to stay lenient to linear to what instructions are
usually told to do, but I will improvise if it is for the better. I keep
organized with my work supplies most of the time and keep
others in check. I am willing to help others with what they need, if
needed so. If there is a situation in which there isnt a direct
solution or the solution is a bad one, I will try tome come up with
what is the best possible answer for that problem. Im also able
and willing to learn from my mistakes for the better, so I never
decline in my work efficiency, only improve.
2. What makes for a good employee?
They get to work on time; Is able to work with other people
easily (Since there will be other people working in the same
company) Follows the directions given by the employer/manager
of the company and does them correctly to the end, is kind to
customers/ tries to satisfy the customer as much as possible.
3. How do you think a teacher who KNOWS you well
enough would describe you?
The teacher would most-likely say that I study and take tests
well, get homework done most of the time, and I usually dont
talk to other people much except when it is needed or allowed.
They would also say that I am a good note-taker and listener
due to my 3.8 GPA.
4. What is your opinion about punctuality?
I am a little laid-back in punctuality. If for some reason a person
isnt able to make it to work in time for a reason they cant help
(I.E Traffic, Injury, Etc.) so I would allow a late-show up by about
15 minutes for the first few weeks of their job, as they dont really
know how or where to go or how to get to work.

5. What are your strengths?

I have high computer software skills, knowing how to use most
Microsoft Office programs and some Adobe programs as well. I
use Microsoft Office to sort and record the data that the company
needs to keep. I use Adobe software to make illustrative objects &
editing illustrations. I also have some experience with Industriallike areas, working in woodshop for 2 years as of typing this
document.
6. What are your weaknesses?
My punctuation & math skills are below average of what people
usually know about. Currently I have mediocre-level knowledge
about most algebraic topics as well as English grammar. I also
have some pretty bad handwriting & I cant hand-draw much very
well.
7. Why should I hire you?
I am the best candidate for the job, considering how much
more effort I put towards being a good worker.
8. What are your skills?
My skills include Construction Trades knowledge, outdoor
cleaning/maintaining services & data recording skills.
9. What have you gained by participating in Extracurricular activities?
Knowing how to work with others and how to carry out multipersons plans. I have learned how to take orders from the
commander of this plan/job, and how to change things up if the
original plan doesnt go as good.
10.

What can you do to contribute to this company?

I am able to quickly manage with the customer in sort of a getin get-out sort of deal. Business is Business, and if anything has to
do with business it would be an efficient and quick talk to the
customer about what they need from the company, while also
providing a comfortable environment. Its just that.

11.
How does this job fit into your plans for the
future?
The job I will be joining at this company will be to save up the
money I earn from the job to pay the tuition to go to the college to
begin studying for what my career is going to be. I have decided
that I am either going to be an architect or an archaeologist.
12. What training & experience have you had?
Ive never had a job as a Landscaper, but I have had
experience working outside with objects in the forest & finding 7
locating thing in dense brush. I also am good at excavating in
which will lead to the discovery of patterns in the Rock Record.
13 What do you think a past employer would think of you?
I think that they would say Im flawed, but malleable & able
to learn new things to better myself as a worker in the workplace.
A past employer may say that I am organized, but also resourceful
and know what and when to use things to my advantage.
14. Do you have and plans to continue your education?
What are they?
Im going to continue in school for the next 4 years and get a
bachelors degree in something. Most likely a job in Architectural
services, Archaeology, or Engineering.
15. What extracurricular activities have you been involved
in? What leadership roles did you have?
I have had a few experiences with a few sport &
extracurricular activities throughout my life. These give me some
aspects of leadership.
16. If you were hiring a high school graduate, what would
you look for?
I would look for someone who can work with others easily,
while still able to get the job done on time. I would also like to see
that they are quick & efficient in their work time. Anything else I
can bear a bit more than others.

17. Is salary more important than the type of work you do?
I would rather do a job that I enjoyed doing every single day
than a job that would be boring or annoying to me. Nothing like
being *stuck in an office or classroom. I want to do something
that will actually make a noticeable change in the world.
18. You worked at the theater in town. Lets say you saw a
co-worker steal a piece of candy. What would you do?
At first I would try to find out WHY this person is stealing candy,
and try to take the responsibility as a co-worker to try and prevent
it from happening again & try to make them pay their debts. If
that doesnt work, then I would report it to the manager of the
theater building after that point.
19. You work at ponderosa. You come into your shift, and
they dont fill the salad bar which they were supposed to
do. Now you have to do what they did. What do you do?
Honestly, if it started becoming a habit for them, I would report
them to the boss. If they noticed their own fault and began to
start to fill the salad bar again, I would leave them alone.
