Online Examinations FAQ 4

The examinations for all distance and online students starting on June 20th, 2015 will be conducted online. The exams will consist of three sections: Section A will have one descriptive question and 5 multiple choice questions worth 2 marks each. Section B will include a case study and 10 multiple choice questions worth 2 marks each. Section C will contain 40 multiple choice questions worth 1 mark each. Students can take the exam at listed exam centers or through online proctoring at a location of their choice, but must follow the exam schedule. Students are allowed up to 5 attempts to pass each exam, with repeat attempts requiring additional fees except for the first slated exam. Resources will be provided to help students prepare for the new exam format.

Online Examinations for Distance & Online Learning (DL+ODL) Students

The examinations starting from 20th June, 2015 for all distance, correspondence and online
students will be conducted online. If you plan to take the examination, we understand that you may
have some concerns or questions. This page addresses some of the issues to help you with your
examination planning.
Will all the exams be online or offline written exams ?
The examinations to all the course would conducted Online.
Whats the structure of the new exam?
There will be three Sections A ,B &C
Section A comprise of one descriptive question followed by five MCQs of two marks each .
Section B comprise of a case study followed by ten MCQs of two marks each
Section C comprises of forty MCQs of one marks each.
What are MCQs?
MCQs stands for multiple choice questions.
All questions will be on Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) format with a question followed by four
options. Select the right answer.
What is duration of the exam ?
Examination would be of 90 minutes duration
Will there be any negative marking?
There will be no negative marking. .
Where can I give the exam from?
You can take examination at any of the listed location. The list of examination centers is available on
the website .
OR
You can take the examination at any of the location of your choice opting proctored examination.

If I choose the online proctoring system, can I give the exam at anytime or as per the examination
schedule of University?
You can take examination only according to the schedule announced by the University.
If I fail , how many attempts am I allowed to repeat the examination till I clear?
You can repeat any examination to the maximum of five attempts. Any attempt beyond limits is allowed
under exceptional circumstances .
Will there be an additional fees for new exams?

No, you need not pay for taking the slated examination. However repeat attempts are charged
Will there be any resources to help candidates study for the new exam format?
Further information on the single-best-answer question format, including a number of sample questions,
can be found on the website. In addition, we will also provide the sample of MCQs. There will be no
shortage of resources to help you prepare.
