Week 3: Fourier Properties: Lectures

This document outlines the topics and materials covered in Week 3 of the course, which focuses on Fourier properties. The topics include linearity, shift, symmetry, convolution, energy conservation, the Fast Fourier Transform, zero-padding, and analysis/synthesis of periodic signals and complex sounds. Students will have one quiz and one programming assignment due. The week includes theory and demo lectures as well as programming lectures demonstrating Python implementations using the sms-tools package. Discussion forums are provided for each assignment, quiz, and the lectures.
