Tom Jacasser is the director of the movie in the musical. He is in his mid thirties and has
worked as assistant director in many small movies. Recently, he has directed some more
popular independent films, and this movie is a great opportunity to establish himself as a
director. He is a very energetic and ready to succeed person. He trusts his main actors,
actresses, and staff to put on the best production possible with his help.
Character Development
1. Tom worked for many productions of small, independent films as an assistant director
and recently as head director. This is his first real, big-time movie job as a director.
2. Tom wants to create the best movie ever seen and, to do this, he keeps an extremely
careful watch over everything on stage. No matter what problem is thrown at him, he just
continues directing and putting together the best production possible.
3. This character is allied to everyone except Josefina for a short time. He needs to be in
good standing with everyone to make sure everyone cooperates and works hard. For a short
time he has to stop Josefina from taking Scarletts role, but he helps resolve the issue and
maintain good relations.
4. This character is catholic. He believes that friendliness and compassion help everyone do
their best. This character believes in forgiveness instead of punishment. He also believes
that if everyone works as hard as they can, nothing can turn out that badly.
5. Other characters really enjoy this character. He is very nice to everyone and barely ever
gets upset. No one really has a good reason to be mad at him directly.
6. In the beginning of the show, Tom is a relatively unsure person about what he wants to
do with the show. He is indecisive and has trouble teaching people what to do. Throughout
the show, Tom becomes a just as friendly, but much more take-charge director who is
extremely well-spoken and confident. He becomes a firm director who could take on any
production by the end of the show.
Character Analysis
1. Tom is a tall, 6 4, skinny french male. He has blonde hair and a fu manchu. His style is
a very energetic with bright colors and a beret. His wardrobe consists of mostly red and
gold clothes. He is muscular but not ripped. He always has a clean, shaven face.
2. Tom has a very clear conscience. He becomes more and more confident in himself
throughout the show. He trusts his colleagues to always do their best, and he tries to be nice
to everyone. He never thinks badly of people and tries not to be rude.
Character Description
Scarlett is a newer actress making her first splash in Hollywood. She has worked with other
people working on the movie in smaller productions. She is an extremely talented actress
who is ready to become a star. This movie may be the big break she wants and deserves.
Character Development
1. Scarlett was a small time actress. She had never really had a big production of her own
and was so excited to finally star in a movie.
2. Scarlett wants to shine in her leading role and create a great movie as a whole. She works
as hard as she can and is always trying to improve her part to improve the movie.
3. Scarlett is allied to the entire cast and crew. She could never have her leading part
without everyone else making the movie possible, so she stays on good terms with
everyone. Scarlett is against Josefina for a few scenes when she tries to take Scarletts part,
but this issue is resolved. Scarlett and Josefina eventually make up.
4. Scarlett is a Christian. She believes in fairness and goodness for everyone. She believes
in forgiveness instead of punishment.
5. Everyone likes Scarlett. Josefina had a rough patch when she thought she was better than
Scarlett, but even she admitted Scarletts talent. Everyone loves Scarletts hard work,
attitude, and skill.
6. Scarlett begins this show as a small-time, timid actress. She is very talented, but she still
doesnt express herself fully. Everyone expresses their belief in her throughout the show,
and by the end, she has fully come out of her shell. She plays her part with utmost
confidence while still being pleasant and humble.

1. Scarlett has a model type body. She is about 5 6. She was an acrobat for 7 years
which is why she is very flexible. She has red hair and light skin. She is very skinny

Samuel is a not a new actor in Hollywood who had been heard of a lot before this movie.
He had done short films with friends, and he received many big parts in major movies soon
after. He is very talented, and his characters fit almost every role perfectly. Sam is
extremely excited to work on this movie, and he is still growing as a Hollywood star.
Character Development
1. Samuel worked in many other popular movies and really enjoyed the story behind this
production.
2. Samuel is trying to make a wonderful movie to further his fame and legacy. He works
extremely hard on his part to bring life to the movie.
3. Samuel is allied to everyone in this show. Everyone knows that Samuel is a big actor and
no one has the guts to say against him. At the same time, he likes and respects everyones
hard work on the movie.
4. Samuel is a big Christian. He always thanks God for his wonderful success and talent.
He believes that respect is key to good relationships and being mean is simply pointless
unless it is completely necessary.
5. Other characters have nothing but respect for Samuel and all of his success. Everyone
likes his great personality as well.
6. Samuel begins this show as being a pretty reserved character. He is the only really
famous actor in the movie, and at first he doesnt talk to the others much. Throughout the
show, however, Samuel learns how great and talented everyone really is. By the end of the
show, Samuel knows everyone on set by name and is willing to strike up a conversation
with anyone in the movie.
Character Analysis
1. Samuel is a very muscular african american male who is 6 2. His
muscular frame is perfect for all of his powerful roles that he plays. He is
also in his mid thirties. He is bald and almost never takes his hat off.
2. Samuel is a very nice character when treated nicely, but he is not afraid to be stern or
mean at times. Samuel always wants to take control of a situation and be a problem solver.
Samuel loves all of his friends and family and has very few insecurities (except his
baldness.)
Character Description
Shayne is a well known choreographer in Hollywood. He has worked in many previous
productions as a choreographer. Every Hollywood director knows Shayne, and Tom was
lucky enough to catch him at a good time. Shayne is flamboyant and open with his
opinions. He can be hard to like at times, but most people are friends with him.
Character Development
1. Before the play, Shayne worked in many movies and established himself as a talented
and reliable Hollywood choreographer.
2. Shayne wants to choreograph as many good movies as possible, and to do this, he simply
works on any movie he can, as hard as he can.
3. Shayne is allied to all of his fellow crew members. Shayne respects all of the directing
and production choices of Tom and John. Shayne is against the actors at times, though,
because the actors are not good dancers. Shayne really struggles with teaching them, but in
the end, everyone is still friends.
4. Shayne is an atheist so he does not believe in gods. Shayne believes that hard work
always pays off. He also believes that looking good on the outside leads to feeling good on
the inside.
5. The other characters really enjoy Shayne overall. Everyone respects his work ethic and
team spirit despite the fact that his outfit choices are questionable by some peoples
standards.
6. Shayne begins the show as a better-than-you kind of person, but this changes over the
course of the show. Shayne sees how well people actually learn when he teaches, and he
becomes much more humble. Shayne no longer feels the need to show off. He lets his work
speak for itself.
Character Analysis
1. Shayne is a very flamboyant character. He likes to wear clothes with sequins and glitter.
He is about 59 with blonde hair, and he is very lean. Shayne is also quite flexible from his
years of dancing experience. He is not an unattractive man in any respect.
2. Shayne is not afraid to think what he wants about people. Shayne is always criticizing
everyone regardless of whether he likes them or not. He loves thinking about other peoples
outfits and how bad they are compared to his. However, he is still very trusting of the
people he works with, and all he wants is a good movie.
