4. Its Diversity: In The Walking Dead the producer

includes many black/Asian/Hispanic/ actresses and
that is called diversity. Sorry, but thats the truth.
The humans of The Walking Dead range in age from
childhood, adult to menopause; some survivors are
mean SOBs and others are gently confused in the
show. Some are fat, short, skinny, crude,
sophisticated, urbane, hick, buff, beautiful, plain,
wrinkly, etc. which means that you dont have to be
beautiful like in other shows. Several
characters appear to be penning letters in their
heads starting, Dear White People as they try not
to roll their eyes at the crazy things that Rick
& Lori & Shane & Andrea & the Governor are doing.
Which involves a lot of swinging, as if theyre trying
to pretend that its the 80s and theyre all back in
the suburbs where their biggest problem is trying to
decide between au pairs or threesomes.

Reasons why The Walking

Dead is a hit show.
1.How successful is it? AMC's THE
WALKING DEAD hit show always
sets high ratings record when new
seasons return, proving that on TV,
extreme is the new mainstream.
SEASON over SEASON! They just
keep coming, more and more, as if
they never die, not the zombies, but
the Walking Dead viewers. Every
single time a new season comes out
the show has gotten way, way better.
The seasons premiere of the, most
popular horror drama has a new
viewing record, of course like always:
17.3 million viewers!!! This is CRAZY.
Even when people set up their DVRs
to record and encore also brought its
viewership up. The hit show may even
end the week to the most-watched
series on TV history, period. The
Walking Dead is not just violent; its
relentless. It kills/harms beloved
characters and children; it just gives
us very little reason to hope that later
on in life, any one could end up like a
walker or meat for them.

3. It cares about its credibility (believable):

Zombies do not actually exist in real life, but of
course "The Walking Dead" makes you believe
they could be real. The reason the show is so
scary is because it doesn't seem that far from a
possible truth of it happening in the future.
Similarly, Greg Nicotero (Special effects Makeup artist) takes care for the show's walkers -largely created with practical effects -- to make
them look real as when they crawl or stumble
through the woods and murder main characters.
If the viewers pay really close enough attention,
they can even notice that the walkers look more
and more weak with each passing season as they
age and starve without as many people left to
eat.

2. Characters: Everyone knows that in a show the

characters are supposed to be great. As for that the
hit TV show it does have great characters. It's
actually a bit surprising that "The Walking Dead's"
central actors haven't become bigger stars. Its
because they're often so dirty that no one can see
their faces? Whatever the reason, "The Walking
Dead" characters are left standing are the
strongest of the bunch. Lets take Carol for
example, who turned from an abused, cowing wife
to a woman with no qualms about covering herself
in zombie gore to blend into a pack and save her
friends. Now shes a strong woman who doesnt let
anyone bring her down.

5. It has progress in all seasons: Try to

watch "The Walking Dead" Season 1 and if you
cannot go through Season 2 or 3, well here is
some good news: Throughout the seasons the
show has gotten way, way better. There were
some different creativity with "The Walking
Dead" in earlier seasons, but it seems like the
writers have taken it seriously after each
season. Season 4's has a lot of sickness, the
Governor rehash and Terminus journey lost
some viewers, but it earned points for
experimenting, and those experiments
helped turn the Season 5 premiere into its
strongest season yet.

6. Its popular: The Walking Dead is one

of the biggest entertainment properties
on the planet right now, so what I have
heard and seen in social media. It's about
the only non-Marvel/DC comic series to
top the sales charts; its TV show is the
biggest cable series in history and its
game is one of the most talked about in
recent memory. The walking dead is huge
right now...and earlier today I was
thinking to myself, why, why exactly?
What about it has caught the attention of
so many people around the world. Its
because of all the diversity, characters,
and how successful it is.

Friends were described as a comedy

about six people in there 20s who
hang out at this coffee house. At
first it didnt seem exactly scream
laughter. But, as we of now, Friends
turned out to be one of the most
successful sitcoms ever produced,
adored by a generation of young
people who saw themselves in the six
main characters as they negotiated
the tricky path of adulthood. So 20
years after it first appeared on TV,
Friends is still the quintessential
show. It tells a familiar story, one
of working hard, attempting success,
and trying to scrape enough together
to eat dinner with people we
actually like.

Why we still love the hit TV show 20

years on? Pt. 1

Friends had a great impact of television. One

of its biggest legacies (apart from Jennifer
Anistons Rachel hairdo).
Back then we loved it because it was the first
sitcom aimed right at our generation which
addressed what mattered most to us such as
relationships, carving out careers, settling
down. And that still resonates for todays
teens and 20-somethings. The key thing about
Friends is that its about people working out
how they are going to live their lives, what
kind of relationship are they going to have,
what kind of job, and the difficulties of
settling down.

The other key aspect was, of

course, the group dynamic.
Before Friends, sitcoms
tended to focus on family
life, with parents being the
central characters. Friends
was also honesty about all
the real life experiences.

Ill admit it. Friends fans recite the lyrics

and clap the opening part of the song. In the
beginning of the show is what brings viewers
together, especially in public. It is here that
we are introduced to Monica, Joey, Phoebe, Ross,
Chandler and Rachel casually splashing about
in a fountain at the Warner Bros. Ranch. The
title sequence was filmed at a frosty 4am in
Burbank, California, and thankfully so, paved
the way for a joyful decade of sing-alongs
before each episode. The theme tune Ill Be
There For You by The Rembrandts is a clear
addition to the shows charm. The song was
actually recorded specifically for its use
in Friends.

The likeability of the six young Manhattan friends

has allowed the show to transcend its original
audience. The fact that they seem like real humans
not just TV humans is a really important
thing. Friends showed people the human experiences
of happiness, comfort, loneliness, rejection and
success. Friends relevance comes from its
representation of how we connect to others and
ourselves, exploring relationships and values of
young, modern, working Americans.
We see it in Monicas passion and even obsessive
compulsion towards the things she loves; Rachels
naturalist; Ross kind hearted; Chandlers
sarcasm; Phoebes confidence; and Joeys slowwitted. Each Friends character has their qualities
that allow them to support their own.

Friends will forever be the only opportunity for 238

episodes to satisfy your Chandler fix. Chandler Bing
is the comedic genius of the group with his jokes at
inappropriate times to break awkward silences, on an
average day. The bromance between him and Joey is an
outstanding comedic value. He is always delivering
jokes on daily observations. He always adds a hint of
mockery to every situation, being sure to joke about
himself as much as others. H In an episode: The One
With All the Resolutions (Season 5) where Chandler
has made a bet not to make fun of his friends. But
later His jokes soon surface, especially as Ross is
wearing leather pants and Phoebe is trying to steal a
plane. This contrast is particularly funny throughout
the ten seasons. Team Bing, any day.

Pt. 2

The Ross and Rachel saga spans the entirety of

the Friends ten seasons, easily ranking as the
most complicated yet wonderful if they Will Or
Wont end up together. Ross sights on Rachel
since the ninth grade fed into their string of
unsuccessful relationships over the seasons.
Ross confirmed his chances of succeeding the
bounds of the friend zone, as the sweetest nerd
seduced Rachel. They ended up breaking up
because Rachel was to busy with work and Ross
cheated on Rachel with another women because
they were on a break he says.

THE BEATLES
Paul McCartney announces his split from The Beatles on April 10, 1970. The Beatles
made thirteen albums all together. When their manager died in 1967, they begun
to implode for a while. In the late 1969, Paul McCartney was looking for the end
and he began to start his own solo career and work on an album. Abbey Road
was the last they recorded, but Let It Be was the last they released. Members of the group
was John Lennon (guitar), Paul McCartney (Bass), Ringo Starr (Drums), and George Harrison (Lead Guitar).
Albums were Please Please Me (1963), With the Beatles (1963), A Hard Day's Night (1964), Beatles for Sale (1964),
Help! (1965), Rubber Soul (1965), Revolver (1966), Sgt., Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967), Magical Mystery

LED ZEPPELIN
Two months after the death of drummer John Bonham, Led Zeppelin made the
difficult decision to break up on December 4, 1980. They were preparing to begin a
tour in the fall of 1980 when John Bonham passed away, but the tour was
cancelled. He passed away of heavy drinking, he gone to bed and died from his
own vomit. The bands most recent reunion was in 2007 at an Ahmet Ertegun
tribute show at Londons 02 Arena. Over the years, Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, and
John Paul Jones have worked and recorded together. Members of the group was Robert Plant (Lead
Vocals), Jimmy Page (Guitar), John Bonham (Drums), and John Paul Jones (Keyboard). Led Zeppelin released twelve
albums (1969-1997). Albums were Led Zeppelin (1969), Led Zeppelin 2 (1969), Led Zeppelin 3 (1970), Led Zeppelin 4
(1971), Houses of Holy (1973), Physical Graffiti (1975), Presence (1976), The Song Remains the Same (1976), In
Through the Out Door (1979), Coda (1982), BBC Sessions (1997), How the West was Won (2003), etc.

THE DOORS
On August 30, 1973 after two years of Jim Morrison death, the band
decides it to call it quits. Jim Morrison was the lead singer and he died
in July 3, 1971. He died at the age of 27. Morrison died of a massive
heroin overdosed. They released six albums before Morrisons death.
After Morrison death, they collaborated on two more original albums.
Members of the group was Jim Morrison (lead vocals), Ray Manzarek (Piano), Robby

Krieger (guitar), and John Densmore (Percussion). Albums were The Doors (1967), Strange Days (1967),
Waiting for the Sun (1968), The Soft Parade (1969), Morrison Hotel (1970), Absolutely Live (1970), LA
Women (1971), Other Voices (1971), Full Circle (1972), etc.
JONAS BROTHERS
On October 30, Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas appeared on ABCs Good
Morning America and explain their split on Wednesday, October 30.
Nick was talking to his brothers and he wanted to do their own
individual things even though they are brothers. The Jonas Brothers
last album was released in June 2009 and is called Lines, Vines and
Trying Times. Kevin said the album wasnt complete, but they wanted to release something for the
fans. Joe Jonas plans to make a solo album and an actor. Nick said that he knows he is going to disappoint a
lot of fans but they are just trying to look forward for their future. Now, Kevin Jonas has a baby with his
wife Danielle Jonas. The Members of the group Nick Jonas, 21 (Piano), Joe Jonas, 24 (Guitar), and Kevin
Jonas, 25 (Mandolin). Albums were Its about Time (2006), Jonas Brothers (2007), A Little Bit Longer (2008),

GUNS N ROSES
Slash quit the band due to personal tensions with Axl Rose in 1996.
The group hit it big with the release of Appetite for Destruction in
1987, but three years later they pushed out original drummer Steven
Adler due to his severe drug addiction. They carried on, but Axl Rose
started showing up for shows ridiculously late. According to Slash
and Duff McKagan, he refused to go onstage one night until they signed
away the rights to the band's name. Guns N Roses had five members of the group, but
throughout the years some of the members would be replace.

that Kanye West is a music producer,
rapper, songwriter, and singer. It says that
on June 8, 1977 Kanye Omari West was
born in Atlanta, Georgia. He left college to
pursue his music career. He produce
tracks for Jay-Z. He released his album
The College Dropout in 2004. It won the
best rap album. His parents divorced when
he was three years old. He was raised by
his mother in Chicago, an English
professor, and spent with his father in the
summer. Kanye West graduated from
Polaris High School and completed one
year at Chicago State University. In 2001,
he moved to New York City to pursue his
career as a rapper. West hired Jay-Z to
produce songs for his album The Blueprint.
That album sold more than 420,000 copies
in the first week. Later on, he produce for
a handful artist such as Ludacris and
Beyonce. West was in a car accident that
left him fractured his jaw. His jaw was
wired shut, Kanye West returned to the
recording studio to finish his album The
College Dropout, which was released in
2004. It sold 2.6 million copies and he

received the Best Rap Album Grammy. In

2005, he released his album Late
Registration and 2007 he released
Graduation. West won three Best Rap
Song Grammys for his hits Jesus Walker
,Diamonds from Sierra Leone, and Good
Life. In 2005, he also took the Best Rap
Solo Performance award for his hit Gold
Digger. In 2007, West won a Grammy for
Best R&B Song for You Dont Know my
Name, which he collaborated with Alicia
Keys. Also, West won for Best Rap
Performance by a group or duo with
collaborating with Common for
Southside.

PERSONAL LOSS

On November 10, 2007, Kanye West

received terrible news. He was devastated
when his mother, Donda West died to
complications from a cosmetic surgery. He
dedicated a performance of his song Hey
Mama to his mother during his first
concert following the funeral.
In 2008, on his next album he put out 808s
& Heartbreak. The recoding reached the
top of the billboard charts and received a

lot of hits including Heartless and

Amazing. Later that year he won two
Grammys for his work with collaborating
with other artist. His duet with the artist
Estelle American Boy won for Best/Rap
Sung Collaboration. Also with his work with
Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, and T.I. won for Best
Rap Performance by a Duo or group.

DATING LIFE

In 2002, Kanye West and designer Alexis

Phiffer began dating. Also, he proposed to
her in August 2006, but sadly the
engagement ended eighteen months later.
West also been dating the model Amber
Rose, but they ended their relationship. In
the early 2012, Kanye West and the reality
television star Kim Kardashian began
dating. At his concert, Kanye announced
he and Kim Kardashian are expecting their
first child together on December.

FIRST CHILD

On June 15, 2013, Kanye West and Kim

Kardashian first child was born. He and
Kim had welcomed their first child, who
was born in a hospital in Los Angeles. The
pair decided to name their first daughter
North. Later that year, Kanye proposed to
Kim at the AT&T baseball stadium in San

Francisco. Kim Kardashian accepted his

proposal. In May 2014, Kanye and Kim got
married in true celebrity style. They
decided to hold their rehearsal dinner at
Versailles, located outside of Paris. On
May 24, 2014, the married couple moved
their celebration to Florence, Italy, for their
official ceremony. Kim walked down the
aisle and Andrea Bocelli sang with other
attendees included designer Rachel Roy
and director Steve McQueen. The married
couple exchanged their vows at Forte di
Belvedere, (a historic fortress) in front of
family and friends.
In 2013, Kanye seemed to go all out to
promote his most recent effort
into Yeezus. Also Kanye had a video of
himself performing "New Slaves" projected
on the walls of 66 buildings in 10 cities.
On Saturday Night Live Kanye debuted the
songs "New Slaves" and "Black Skinhead"
and performed at that year's Met Gala in
New York as well.

his daughter North. He will have tour dates
this year 2015.

Fast and Furious Saga

The Fast and the Furious saga started on 2001 and currently is made up of seven movies; The fast and
the Furious, 2Fast 2furious, The fast and the furious: Tokyo Drift, Fast and Furious, Fast Five, Fast and
Furious 6, and lastly there is Furious 7. With every new Fast and Furious movie comes a new success for
their whole team and their audience. Watching these movies brings such excitement that their audience
cannot wait till the next movie is released.

Spectators have many reason why to have higher expectations from these movies. Jen Chaney wrote an

article in the website Esquire mentioning there were major chase scenes involving military tanks, gunfire

stuff simultaneously. Chaney basically gave a summary of all the action
scenes that occur in Fast 6 that kept the audience at the edge of their
seats. After watching the first action scene people expect for the next
one to top the last one and each of the Fast and Furious movies have
never disappoint their audience in that request. Having major action
scenes makes the audience stay entertain throughout the whole movie
making it a success.

Money is sure not that important when it comes to determining the quality of the movie but it important
when it comes to showing the success of a movie. The newest Fast 7 movie broke records in financial
matters. According to CNBC Fast 7 opened with $13.5 million and globally it has already crossed $800
million in its first two weeks of release, according to Universal. What these numbers are showing are the
many people that are attending theaters to see this movie and of course they enjoy it that they tell other to
go watch it too. These numbers are huge when compared to any
other movie that have come out, they are larger than The
Hunger Games sequel. These statistics show the achievements
that the movie had in just two weeks and makes it clear that they
accomplished their goal to please their audience.

There is another mainly reason why this last movie was one of
the most expected movie since two years ago. Sadly one of the
main and most loved actor from the Fast and Furious saga
passed away on November 2013 in a fatal car accident. Every
Fast and Furious fan and even those who were not fans were devastated with the news because of the
horrible way he died. Walker and the whole movie crew had already begun filming Fast 7 when the
horrible accident happen making the movie be delayed for a couple of years. Changes had to be done to
the movie since one of their main actors was no longer there. When the final release date of the movie
came out it was predictable that this movie had to be the best one yet because this movie was going to be
made in honor of Paul Walker. They made a great job in the tribute to Walker because they showed
how much they loved and appreciated him. Most importantly they showed how much he meant for each
and one of them.

Although everyone including myself would have thought that Fast 7 was going to be the last movie done

because of Walkers disappearance, well we were all wrong. It was announce by Vin Diesel (main actor of
the saga) that Fast and Furious 8 would be released on April 14 2017. Since Walker was a really close
friend of his, he said Fast 7 was for Paul and fast 8 is from Paul These words sure are touching but the

expectations for this new movie are surely going to be high. Expectations are not a problem because they
know exactly what has to be done to please their audience.

Of course Fast and Furious 8 is going to be awesome and great just like the other ones but what

everyone asks themselves is if the movie is going to be the same without the great actor Paul Walker and
his crazy scenes that would make everyone go nuts. The only thing left to do is wait two more years and
see the results of this new movie that gets add up the Fast and Furious sequel.

At some point of our lives we have all bought movies
that were not necessarily an original copy of the
movie. In other words we have unconsciously
supported film piracy. The question is why film piracy
is such a wrong action. First of what is film piracy?
According to the website Piracy, IP crime, copyright
infringement Film piracy refers to the act of stealing,
copying, and distributing movies and other types of
film without permission from the copyright holder.
There are several of reason why film piracy is prohibit
but even if people know that this act is illegal, they
still do it and they as well have their own reasons why
to.
First off the main reason why copying a movie or any
other film without permission is illegal because it has
major effects on the film industry. The film industry
loose so much money because of film piracy. They
know that film piracy sales their movies cheaper and
people are going to buy those instead of the most
expensive.
There are serious
consequences to
people who
make this illegal
act. Not just
people who copy
movies but also
people who
downloads or
watches free
movies online
can get fined for
up to $250,000
dollars because
by downloading movies you are supporting the film
piracy industry. Another major consequence would be
taken to prison and being sentence to do time in jail
because you wanted to pay $5 instead of $15 or
because your job is to make pirate movies.
If people keep supporting movie piracy they are going
to make the film industry go broke because they are
not getting back any money that they invested in
making the movie. What would happen next is that
they are going to stop investing money into making
movies because they are receiving no profit off from
movies anymore. These are things that as consumers
of film piracy we do not stop and think before buying
them. We love movies and we love saving money and
that is when movie piracy comes in handy but in the
long run they are going to stop making movies
because of no profit coming in. It is either that or the

consequences of filming movies the illegal way gets

stricter.
Not just the individuals who are recording or making
copies of these movie are committing film piracy but
also the people who are watching and buying these
movies. It is obvious the reason why people prefer to
buy pirate movies instead of original ones because
they are so much cheaper. Movies filmed at the
theaters or that have been copied from an original
movie they cost $7 or less while the original copies
cost $15 if not more. Of course we are going to go for
the cheap one because it does not make a huge
impact to our pockets and people get to enjoy the
movie.
Why do people risk getting caught and getting punish
for committing this crime? The answer is simple,
because they need a job. Now a days it keeps getting
harder to find a stable job or just any job in general
and copying movies the illegal way could result into a
way of making money to survive. I know this because I
had a family member that he copied movies and sale
them for a living. He fed his family with that money
and although he knew it was wrong, he was not going
to stop because he was not going to leave him family
without eating.
It would probably take a long time before film piracy
decreases because I do not think it would never go
away. But it is for everyones benefit that this goes
away because producers would get profit off from
their hard work in making movies and people would
not have to worry about getting in trouble when
watching a movie. What consumers could do instead
of buying off these prohibit movies is to rent them
form legal places. There are places such Redbox, big
stores
where they have a large variety of
movies and even legal
websites such as Netflix
and HULU where you
could watch movies
for free. It is better for
everyone if all film
