Members Exhibitions
Creators Members have the opportunity to show
their work on two occasions in the first half of the
year.
The Easter Exhibition is still up and 11 members
have hung works.
The second opportunity is from 19 to 21 June,
during the Circuit Open Studio program.
We are also preparing a program of
workshops from July onwards so if you have
some ideas let us know.

Creators has recently been the beneficiary of
some building works, courtesy of City of
Wodonga. Our ceiling in the studio has been
lined with an insulated layer and all the drafty
gaps have been filled.

We have also had heating and cooling installed in
both the gallery and the studio.
More works are scheduled soon with the
construction of a veranda and our existing door
sculpture will be moved inside.
Already the space feels more welcoming and we
are planning to have a gathering to toast in the
new surrounds.

Circuit Open Studio
Program
19 to 21 June
Creators joined forces with GIGS and AWAS to
prepare a joint submission to Murray Arts for
inclusion in the Circuit Open Studio program in
June. Happily we were successful and have the
opportunity to boost our profile with the publicity
and visitation this event will generate.
Umberella CoOp
The Umberella Co Operative continues to inspire and draw
many visitors into our space. Framed and unframed printed
works, gift cards, jewellry, clothing, homewares and hats and
more often than not, the printing press rolling away. The
new ceiling and climate control has vastly improved the
conditions and the space is comfortable, warm and light. Call
in and see the wonderful array of printed works on sale and
find that perfect gift.
We will need members to get involved and either
hang work in the Members Exhibition and/or come
along armed with your art materials and
demonstration your art making over the weekend.
Autumn seems to have taken us all by surprise but after
the weekends deluge we can expect the cooler weather to
take hold.
Our plans for the weekend include:
Printing, painting and drawing
demonstrations
Visitors can create 'hand-made' printed
artworks
Everyone can assist in creating an in-situ
art ceramic tile installation which is a
new initiative project for our Creators
Artspace frontage
Entertainment with a recorder musical
performance by a local musician.
We are looking for members to fill some
program spots over the weekend a printing
on tiles demonstration on Saturday and Sunday
from 1pm to 2pm and Painting or Drawing on
Sunday from 12pm to 1pm. Also a Printing
demonstration on Sunday from 11am to 12pm.

Our gallery is available for hire if you are considering an
exhibition this year. If you dont want a solo show
perhaps consider sharing the space with another
member - I can facilitate a joint exhibition.. We can now
offer Gallery Minding on weekends at $50 (or $25
per day).
UmberElla CoOp has grown both in membership and
works on display.
The Printing Press is still available on an ad hoc basis for
$5 per hour. Just call first to make sure it is available and
that your CAPS membership is up to date.
