We chose this poem because we think the vagueness of the poem results to
various interpretations which is very interesting

What are the three most striking points about the text you would like to
focus on? Why?
1. We would like to focus on the authors use of words. Although the
poem is short, the poem is very vivid and is able to form pictures.
2. The authors usage of objects that represents love. Some of these
objects may seem worthless to other people but to others it is very
important.
3. The title of the poem and how it relates to the meaning of the
poem.

report? What critical approach will you use primarily for your interpretation?
Why?
We would like to highlight the element of imagery and symbolism used in the
poem. The critical approach that we will be using is the structuralist approach
because when all the words of the poem are analyzed a clearer meaning about
the poem would be formed.

discussion on what is the poem trying to say.)

How can you say this text is relevant to you now? Why should it be
interesting for your peers?
It is relevant because the poem is about love and all of us have
experienced this emotion. The poem talks about the different representations and
meanings a person can attach to love. We think that discussion will be interesting
because during this generation, topics about love seems to generate a strong response.
