In 1994, at age 14, Matthew Bellamy auditioned for
the role of guitarist in Dominics band. They then
asked Chris to hang up his drumsticks and learn to
play bass for the band Rocket Baby Dolls (later
renamed Muse)
There debut album Showbiz was released in 1999
in the UK, but it wasnt until 2004 that the group
finally made a large push in the United States, with
a set at Coachella festival in support of Absolution.

All three members of Muse received Honorary Doctorates of

on mushrooms when we recorded 'Plug In Baby'.
Bellamy made it into the Guinness Book of World Records
2010. He currently holds the world record for the most
guitars smashed on a tour - 140guitars.
