Call Mute

SQI is not decoded in Tems for mute calls, indicating a mute call. DTX also shows values of 88 or 100 for mute calls. Mute calls are probably due to long parameter timers at the radio link, interference, low coverage/no dominant cell serving, transmission problems at the BTS or upper layers, or BTS issues on the transmitter/receiver.

Call Muting.
For every mute call or silent patch SQI is not decoded in Tems. This is one indication of mute call.
Other parameter which can be helpful in detecting mute call via Tems is DTX. In case of mute call it shows 88 or 100 as a
value
Mute call probably due to:

Parameter timer at Radio Link (RLT) too long (not proper) ideally 20SACCH.
Interference, Low Coverage/no dominant cell serving.
If Mute call happen in large area, it probably because of the transmission so XCDR problem.
Transmission BER at BTS or Upper layer (Ater/Iu).
BTS problem on TRx.
