    Problem Statement

    In modern days, almost all of the building is equipped with air conditioning system.
    The purpose of the air conditioning system is to maintain indoor design and provide thermal
    comfort to building occupants. In today markets, there is a lot type of air conditioning system
    that has been sold by the manufacturer. Because of this, the challenge to select the best design
    for air conditioning system becomes more complex in order to meet the requirement of the
    owner and the building itself. The best design in this context is the design which using the
    minimum amount of power while at the same time, it meet the needs required.

    The current situations of hall are:


    1. Absence of air conditioning
    system.
    2. The hall is using the fan
    systems.
    3. Load content in the hall is
    too high for the fan system
    to support.
    4. The building design is not
    proper for the fan system.
    Absence of air conditioning system
    will unable to give comfort to the
    users. Besides, it is unable to give
    suitable indoor temperature by
    using fan systems. The fan systems
    are also cannot support the load
    content. Other than that, the
    building has low airflow
    circulation.

    The air conditioning systems are


    installed and designed to the
    Dewan MBSA Seksyen 7.

    Objectives:

    Can the air conditioning systems


    increase the level of comfort?
    Can the air conditioning systems
    give suitable indoor design
    temperature?

    To provide information for equipment selection, ducting design and system sizing.
    To calculate the total heat to be removed.
    To improve the efficiency and durability of the air conditioning system.
    To provide comfort temperature for the occupants.

    Project Outcomes:
    1. The fans system will be replaced to air conditioning system.
    2. Select the best type of air conditioning system.
    3. Provide thermal comfort to the occupant especially during peak hours.
