1. Bias Point Simulation

Draw the circuits below in Capture CIS and then simulate them in Bias Point
Mode to work out the voltage at each node and current on the branch.

2. Thevenin or Norton equivalent circuit

2.1 Find the Thevenin voltage
, Thevenin resistance
current
of the following circuits between terminals a and b.

and Norton

a) Calculate the above quantities manually.

b) Using Pspice to check your calculations.
2.2 Find the Thevenin voltage
, Thevenin resistance
and Norton
current
of the following circuits between terminals a and b by using Pspice.

3. Maximum Power Transfer

Using Pspice to find the resistance of the load in order to receive the
maximum power from the circuit.

4. Operational Amplifier
Draw the circuit below with Capture CIS and then use Pspice to check the
transfer function of a commonly-used op-amps circuit.
Note : Use the OPAM component in Analog library.

Hints : In the first simulation, you should perform with bias point mode but
transient mode works for the second.
5. Analog Filter Design

Order : 2
Cut-off frequency :
Realize the transfer function worked out from Matlab by Sallen Key
Model for low-pass filter.

Test the result in Pspice with a AC sweep mode. The drawing must
show the transfer function in frequency domain with the y-axis scale in
dB and x- axis in Hz.

5.2

Design a low-pass filter using ladder network with the specifications

below follow the design table and procedure come with the slides
introduced about Analog Filter Design.
Order : 5
Cut-off frequency : 3 KHz
Realize the circuit in Pspice and check its frequency response in AC
Sweep mode.
