This training course provides fundamental and necessary information on hydraulic principles as these principles are applied
and implemented in mobile hydraulic powered and controlled machinery. While there are many similarities to industrial and
stationary hydraulic systems there are also many differences with how hydraulics is applied in mobile machinery. The hydraulic components and methods used in mobile equipment will be the specific emphasis of this training course.

The operation of typical hydraulic components that would normally be seen in mobile hydraulic applications will be reviewed
and incorporated into the hydraulic circuits both via lecture and application. Such components include check valves, throttle
valves, pressure relief valves and reducing valves as well as typical motion control (counterbalance/brake) valves.
The material covered in the course provides all of the necessary information to properly understand the circuits and systems
used in todays mobile hydraulic applications. Mobile systems will be investigated from the level of components, to circuits,
to applications in order to gain a solid understand from both a theoretical and operational perspective. The students will
apply the principles and information covered in the classroom to hands on lab experiments in order to gain real practical
experience in the operation of this technology.

Electro-proportional hydraulic valves have become a main stream component in most hydraulic powered and controlled
machines and processes. These valves are an active part of the process control system. It is important that mechanical and
electrical maintenance personnel develop a thorough understanding of how these valves are applied and how they operate. For this purpose there will be ample time devoted to the disassembly, inspection and assembly of several valve types.
Students will configure the electronic interface amplifier and put the proportional valve in a hydraulic circuit to observe the
operation. Through this hands-on approach, students will develop their setup and troubleshooting skills. This 5-day training
course is also a proper starting point for plant engineering personnel prior to their attendance in our advanced PSD course.

This is a 5-day seminar for the purpose of developing student knowledge of the internal operation of popular variable
displacement pumps and the operation and setup of various pump controls. Maintenance technicians can use this information presented during this seminar to insure good hydraulic system efficiency, pump performance and longevity. Engineering
personnel develop their pump and pump control knowledge for selection and sizing purposes. Students perform pump
control setup and operation lab exercises. Approximately 2 days will be devoted to open loop pump systems and controls
and 2 days will be devoted to closed loop pump systems and controls.
Please note: This is not pump repair/rebuilding training.

This is a 5-day seminar for the purpose of developing student knowledge of the internal operation and setup of the electronics
used for hydraulic closed process controls that are used to drive proportional and servo valves. Hydraulic system designers
and controls technicians can use the information presented in this training seminar to define the application requirements
and to select, setup and tune a closed loop controller.

Press equipment and other high flow hydraulic systems use logic cartridge valves, cartridge valve control circuits, proportional
valves and variable displacement pumps. This Press Hydraulic Systems class increases students knowledge of the typical
hydraulic valves and press hydraulic circuits that are used on press equipment. This class teaches students to read and
interpret press system schematics.
Students will learn the types of pump equipment that is often used on press hydraulic power units. Students learn how logic
cartridge valves are used to control various press functions, and they also learn about prefill valve operation, decompression,
counterbalance, regenerative controls and press ram circuits.
After completion of this 4-day class, students will better understand the hydraulic controls used on press equipment and they
will be better prepared to maintain and troubleshoot the equipment at their facility.

Electro-proportional hydraulic valves have become evermore present in most hydraulic powered and controlled machines and
processes. This course offering will bridge the gap between conventional valve technologies and so called continuous control valves through understanding the operation of the valve and control. For this purpose there will be ample time devoted
to the actual interconnection and operation of valves and their associated control electronics. Students will configure the
electronic interface and place the valve in a circuit to observe the operation. Through this hands-on approach, students will
develop their setup and troubleshooting skills. This 5-day training course is also a proper starting point for plant engineering
personnel prior to our advanced PCD course.

This 3-day training course develops design concepts with the proper application of proportional and high response servosolenoid valves. Engineering personnel learn to properly select and size a valve. This is an appropriate next-step training
course after completion of our DCH course.
Canada (ON)
This 5-day training course develops the students knowledge of the internal operation of popular fixed and variable
displacement piston pumps and motors and the operation /setup of various controllers. Maintenance technicians can use
the information presented to insure pump performance and to provide good pump life. Engineering personnel develop
their knowledge of proper pump/motor control selection and sizing.
