I am interested in obtaining a full time position as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN)
in the 6 South Renal and Dialysis Unit at Bridgepoint Hospital. Working on 6 South
Renal and Dialysis is a complex and sensitive sector to be working in and with my
pre-graduate experience here, I believe I will be a positive addition to the team and
I am eager to continue gaining my nursing experience there.
As an RPN, it is understandable that one must be a critical thinker, have leadership
skills, excellent time management and communication skills. You will find that I am
very hardworking, punctual, responsible, optimistic and always willing to take
initiative. I am a great team player, but I also take the leadership role when need
be. My pre-graduate experience on this unit has really developed my time
management skills and allowed me to exercise my therapeutic communication skills
greatly. As a critical thinker, it is important to manage and prioritize your client
assignment in order to provide the most efficient care for your patients and my
experience on 6 South has enhanced this skill for me.
Referring to my resume, many of my past clinical experiences has allowed me to
practice a lot of the skills that is needed as a nurse. To me, it is extremely important
to keep the client/patient safe at all times. This refers to transferring of any kind,
repositioning, and the administering of any type of medication to any patient.
Throughout my experiences as a student nurse, I have always maintained patient
safety and safe medication administration. With these skills, I believe that I will be a
positive addition to your team and I look forward to hearing from you.
