OEE

OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) is a key performance indicator used to measure manufacturing process efficiency by taking into account availability, performance, and quality. It is calculated as the product of availability (percentage of planned production time that equipment is operational), performance (percentage of actual production rate compared to the theoretical maximum rate), and quality (percentage of good products produced). Tracking OEE allows companies to identify sources of inefficiency known as "six big losses" - breakdowns, setups, idling, defects, speed, and start-up losses - to drive continuous improvement efforts and achieve world-class manufacturing status through goals of zero losses and sustainable team-based activities.

OEE Definition
OEE Is an abbreviation for the manufacturing metric
Overall Equipment Effectiveness.
OEE takes into account the various sub components of
the manufacturing process Availability, Performance
and Quality.
OEE is a Key Performance Indicator (KPI) that can
measure the impact of change on a process caused by
eliminating process, or equipment losses
OEE is used to measure the performance of equipment
and the process - not the operator.
